Vian blinked his eyes when he smelled the fresh smell of coffee in the room. When her eyes opened wide, he saw Briena sitting by his bed with a cup she guessed was filled with coffee.

"What's this? You want to play the romantic wife who wakes her husband with a cup of coffee?" said Vian then got up from his bed and sat leaning against the head of the bed. His hand moved to reach for the coffee cup that Briena held out to him.

"Think of it like that," said Briena nonchalantly.

Vian just chuckled softly before taking a sip of his wife's coffee.

"Oh, yes. Jo called earlier, he said he had something important to tell you. You'd better call him," said Briena, remembering Jo's call this morning.

Vian handed the empty coffee cup in his hand to Briena, then reached for his cell phone on the nightstand.

"Hello, Jo," said Vian after the phone was connected.
