The first city they went to after setting foot on the European continent was Rome. Even though they had only one day in Rome, Vian booked a suit room at a five-star hotel because they arrived at midnight and needed rest after a long, hour-long journey.

Briena who is pregnant of course needs a lot of rest time. After arriving at the hotel and resting, the next day they explored Rome. They left the hotel at 9.45 am, having previously had breakfast at the hotel. Their first destination in the city was the Vittorio Emanuale II Monument.

Built in 1885 not far from the Colosseum and adjacent to the Roman Forum, it was designed by G. Sacconi. The building is made of white marble and was dedicated to the first King of Italy, Vittorio Emanuelle II.
