'the fall'

The Robinson's family reached the hotel. At the entrance, Mayor Li was puzzled to see a young lady beside Daniel.

"Good evening, Mr. Robinson please welcome." And respectfully greeted everyone else, he asked with curiosity. "Who is the beautiful young lady here? I'm sorry for not recognizing you."

Anna looked towards her 'family' and smiled, and said to Mayor Li. "Mayor Li, I was the one who operated on your wife's brother. I got an invite for the banquet from your wife." She didn't mention her relationship with Robinson family as kin but looked towards Mayor Li's wife and greeted her. "Happy Anniversary, Mrs. Li. Hope that Mr. Jason is doing all fine."

Madam Li had already noticed Anna, she came towards the latter and hugged her and complained. "Dr. Anna, I didn't get any confirmation till morning and was disappointed that you will not be able to come. But here you gave me such a surprise. Welcome, please welcome." Madam Li's behavior towards Anna was enthusiastic and polite.

Beside them, three people were proud and jealous, Anna's achievement in medical field is known to everyone, she has achieved various breakthroughs at a very young age. But, seeing that even an outsider can get a hug from her; they felt like snatching her back from Madam Li.

Daniel started laughing, garnering everyone's attention. He took Anna's hand back from Madam Li and reintroduced her. "She's the only younger sister of mine. Anna Robinson, she doesn't like to be in the lime light and had stayed low-profile." Daniel words are like a shock registered to everyone.

Anna didn't come home on her birthdays or anything, she celebrated it with her friends; thus, Robinson family didn't got the chance to introduce her to everyone. Attending Dinner banquets with her family started two years ago, when Grammy came back. that time, Anna had already started making name in medical industry for her miraculous surgeries. Thus, she pretended to not know everyone, and went to a quiet place to pass time….

Robinson family entered quite grandly today, many of the people inside had heard that Infamous Heiress of Robinson's is here today. They came up to greet the family but were disappointed, Anna has long run away. She was now standing in the most conspicuous corner, so that no one will be able to find her.

Walking to the terrace balcony she observed many children were playing while a girl was standing alone; looking up for the stars.

Anna always feel relax being surrounded by children, their cute gestures melt Anna's little heart. Anna walked towards the girl and was startled to see her falling down the balcony.

The banquet was arranged at the hotel terrace which was at the 71st floor, a mere thought about falling down from here can give goosebumps to a man; for child it can become a life time trauma.

Anna dashed towards her to hold her back but tragedy still happened, she was wearing heels and was unable to stop herself and fell right after her. Anna held the girl while trying to hold the balcony from other hand but it was slipping due to perspiration.

The children near her saw it, some started crying while some run towards the banquet place to ask help.

The girl was scared but calm, she hung herself on Anna's neck with both hands and legs tightly clasped to her waist. But suddenly Anna's hand slipped and they moved downwards.

People who were able to came shouted seeing the seen.

Anna knew that her grip will fail any moment, so she has noticed various poles attached to the next floor. Thus, when her hand slipped, she moved her body inwards to get the hold of the pole. Her movements were swift and very clean, Anna has been a martial arts practitioner since young.

She carefully moved from outer end of pole to the window its attached to. The next floor after the terrace was 70th, where located the presidential suits. Anna was holding the pole tightly with one hand and used other to remove her one heel. She saw the window was not tightly shut and some space was left open; while one light of study table is on. She started knocking her heel on the window pane in hope that the resident might hear it, shouted for help while trying to calm the girl who was now shivering due to fright. "Little darling, don't be scared and don't lose your hold on me ...… umm … someone will help us for sure ... don't be afraid. Lets call for help ..... okay….." she again hit the window pane with her heel and shouted for help. "help … is somebody there … please help us …. We are barely able to hold anymore ….."

Anna heard some hurried footsteps into her direction and was relived to know that someone is here; she focused on the girl and said. "someone is coming to help …. We'll be saved now …. So, be happy and don't be afra….." she was cutoff by a deep voice.

"How?" the man asked.

"Don't you think its inappropriate to play quiz now, you can ask but after helping us too." Anna was little irritated by his choice of words.

The man didn't ask anymore and helped them climb inside the suit.

On the terrace was chaos were happening, Mr. Harrison's only daughter was now missing. Harrison was known as a idol in finance and only have a daughter, Mary. She was only 5 years old but was a smart and quiet kid.

A child came to him and said while stuttering. "U-uncle. Mary was with us near balcony b-but she accidentally fell from the balcony." And started crying, he paused and added. "A brave sister come and caught her but because there was some juice on the floor she too fell while saving her." And again started wailing loudly.

Gasps were heard, Mr. Harrison and his wife were left stunned. The Wrights and The Robinson's came in front to console him, when Daniel took the charge and said. "Mr. Harrison, don't be afraid the little girl will be alright let me take a look.

He ran towards the elevator for security footage. He hasn't seen Anna for a while and was concerned about her too, but ignored and focused on Mary's welfare instead.
