Chapter 7

Athena knew she was dying, she could feel it, her body was becoming colder and weaker as the agonising hours passed by, each one bringing new pains and sensations in her body that she had never felt before. Her body had become so thin and gaunt, her radiant hair became dull and lifeless, her shining eyes had become duller and more sunken in her face, her stomach had grown and swelled in the last few days. She had hunger pains and was thirsty but every time she drank or ate, she would throw it back up, her body had come to the reality that it was dying and soon her mind followed. She didn't want to continue with the pain she was feeling, the way her body was changing and last of all seeing the look of the one she loved in pain and worry. Katsuki had been by her side as much as he could, he had held her when she was cold, calmed her throughout the pain and helped her when she needed to toilet, he had been doing everything he could, but he also knew she was going to die. He had realised this after the doctors said they could do nothing for her.

The doctor had tried everything they could to save the teen from the pain and anguish she was facing but nothing he tried worked, no pills, drugs, or any advanced medicine could save her from the fate that was before her. The doctor didn't want to give up on her, he didn't want the children she was carrying to die the way he knew they would, they would be alive for a few minutes after her heart had stopped and then they were going to slowly suffocate inside from the lack of oxygen, the thought made his stomach churn and desperate measure were then called for. He had asked his colleague at the hospital for help in her case and was referred to an outside source, one that was well known for helping if the price was right. Luckily for the doctor someone else had also been looking for ways to save the teen after hearing about her plight from a policeman in the corridors of the hospital. The police had brought in a prisoner that became injured via a fight and needed medical attention, the student doctor on duty that night was a man with black spiky hair and dark brown eyes, who had won the hearts of the nurses with his smile. As he worked on the prisoner, he could hear the policeman talking about a club on the outskirts of town that had a beauty with brown hair and green eyes, that had suddenly stopped being in the shows and was rumoured to be pregnant by a man that she worked with. They continued to reminisce about the shows they had seen her in and how her dancing could give any man an instant erection. The student doctor was used to hearing things about the club but what got his attention was not only how they had described the women but when they said her name, the name of the person he had been looking for ever since that horrible day three years ago. Athena his beloved sister was the person they were talking about, and he knew right then that he needed to go and see her. How could he get to go to the exclusive club unless he asked the one person that was only allowed to go, it was a risk but he had to take it, he had to see if his sister was the one they were talking about, he could be wrong and it could be another but he knew the club had special people working there, he had heard the tales that people would tell.

Her brother had managed to get in touch with the group and had paid them well to come and help save his sister, he knew it would be difficult but what else could he do. He had spoken to the doctor that attended to her and asked to come along to see her, the doctor was grateful for the chance of another, younger student doctor to take a look at her as maybe more advance medicine was being taught that he hadn't had time to catch up with, but when her brother saw her gaunt body, swollen belly and shallow breath he knew that there was nothing anyone of this world could do.

The group he had contacted had a person that had a special quirk, one that was left undetected by the authority, much like Enji's. This person was known as Kurogiri and had the ability to open warp gates to places and other realms or worlds, he could make a copy of himself and send beforehand to establish a connection to the other world before sending one person through. One person was his limit, he knew this from experience as he had tried to send a pregnant woman through to save her from her abusive husband but unfortunately she had lost the baby to the void in the process, breaking her mind and soul along the way. Her brother had known this when he contacted the group known as the League, but he would do anything to save her and make it up to her for the day on the rooftop. He hated how it had ended between them and wanted nothing more than to put the wrong he had done right before she died. He knew she was going to die unless they acted quickly and all it would take was a call to the league to get Kurogiri in. The league had given her brother a locater chip that they could get an exacted location from.

Her brother asked if he could have some time alone with the teen to chat and say his goodbyes, by now the other doctor knew that he was her brother, he had told him along the way and of the plan he had put into motion, the doctor said nothing more and allowed it to happen, he wanted to save her as much as her brother had.

"Athena, I don't know if you can hear me but it me, Herc your brother. I came to see you and try to save you but there is nothing I can do but send you away"

"Broth...er...is that.... really......you"

"Yes, Athena it's me, I'm here" as he took her hand in his and held it like they used to when they were both young.

"Brother...it hurts so much...why?" a single tear fell from her sullen green eyes.

"I don't know, I don't but I can make it go away, I can save you, but your children won't survive what I have planned"

"How are you going to save her? My children will die?" a confused and sad blonde teen had joined into the conversation.

"I can send her to another world, it will save her life, but it can only take one person, the babies will die. She is going to die and so are they if nothing is done. She does not have long left. Please let me save her, I know it means losing her and the children but please let me be her brother and protect her for once" her said pleading with the teen to allow him to do the right thing, to save his sister from all this pain and hardship.

"I know I will lose them all, I know but how can I let go of her, she is everything to me, she is my entire world and without her I might as well be dead. I wanted to meet my children even if it was just for a minute, I wanted to see them and hold them, to know that we became a family. Why, why it is all like this, why must we both suffer this"

"Kat......I love you...please remember that always....be strong my love"

"Athena, I love you so much, so much that I can't explain to you. Please, it's OK, you're going to be OK, rest for me my love" he said whilst the tears filled his crimson eyes and trickled down his checks, he knew that this was it, he knew, and his heart was ripped from him as each breath she took become shallower and slower. He grabbed her cold, limp hand and placed it into his.

"Kat..."

"We need to do this now; we are losing her. Please let me help her. I'm sorry I can't let you be the father you want to be but please for her"

"Fine!"

Without a second's hesitation Herc was on the phone to the league asking for Kurogiri to come urgently. He pressed the tracker in his pocket and a loud buzz was heard throughout the room. It took mere seconds before a the black, swirling, soundless portal opened into the room.

"Is this her" Kurogiri said as he released the portal he had just come through. He was a tall, slender man, with slightly yellow to his pupils, the rest of his features were hidden under the mask that her wore.

"Yes, this is my sister Athena. Please you need to hurry, she is going to die soon, and we are running out of time"

"She is pregnant. Have you told her about what will happen to the baby?"

"Yes, I explained it to her and her partner over there and they agree"

"As long as they agree then I am happy to proceed. There are times when the child souls stay with the mother, and such if that child has a quirk, then they can also be given to the mother as our quirks are linked to our souls and not our physical being"

Another portal began to open around Athena, the black, swirling was cold to her already chilled body and before long she was completely covered in darkness, her body flowing through a mist like substance that pulled and dragged her in different direction. Pain hit her stomach and her body began to react to the mist around her. Her stomach twisted and turned in the darkness and she felt the familiar warmth of blood running between her thighs, panic set in as she wondered what was happening and if her children would be OK but before long the light grew around her and a warmth filled her side.

Meanwhile the team of nurses and older women were still trying to revive the greenette who had now been dead for over 5 minutes, they had even called for another Omega to come into the room to see if the scent of them would encourage the teen to revive, but nothing so far was working. They had been working hard to maintain the blood and oxygen pumping throughout his body so he would not lose any brain activity, but they were soon wearing thin.

Katsuki was sat in the corner of the room, watching the team work on his friend but soon found an unfamiliar scent enter the room, the scent of a cold, damp and still room began to fill his senses before he even saw the start of the black portal. His heckles raised and a defensive growl left his chest causing the team to turn and look at the blonde who was now standing in a defensive position, ready to pounce and protect those he held dear.

The black portal swirled and grew in the room and before long a tall and slender man walked out.

"I am here to deliver a person to you all, she is currently extremely sick and in need of care. Do not ask more of me for I only and the courier of her. Her name is Athena" with that the body of a young girl started to flow through the portal and land on the floor of the room, blood was beginning to pool around her thighs and legs and the team looked both puzzled and concerned at the situation before them.

Mint scent began to fill the room as the once lifeless greenette reacted to the scent of the women laying on the floor. A jarred breath filled his lungs and gasps broke through after, colour raced through his once greyed and pale skin and the heat he once lost flowed once more. The chocolate scent of the women picked up as she laid unconscious on the floor but very much alive, the blood was slowing, and the team had split in two to help the two teens in the room. Katsuki was shocked and utterly confused at the situation that was before him and soon was asking the only question that was on everybody lips.

"What the fuck just happened and who is she?"
