Ch 6 Part 7

Jumping back down, she stormed off leaving her father behind to wonder "what the hell just happened" once again. The day went on and ended on a high note. As her older siblings left and went with their mates. Only an oldest son that had been successfully paired remained behind as he would be the next village head. As the years past and Rosalynn grew, she remembered learning how to play a lute. It was odd in design, with an open center that had strings running down it, about six of them. The ends curved, looking like small paws that had been carved in the wood as the whole thing was close to an oval shape. She did not much like playing this instrument, but her mother insisted upon it, saying it was "the duty of all women to learn some culture". She always sneered badly at her mother for that but still played with her. Now and again out of boredom she would hit a wrong note causing her mother to scowl at her.
