Feeling quite helpless from the situation Arthur felt a pulsing sensation come from the key in his right hand.
"Hm? Am I supposed to use this? On what?" He asked himself and turned back to the endless hallway, find a seemingly endless row of doors have appeared, they seem to be made of various strange material.
These were definitely not here before.
Walking up to one of the doors that seemed to be made of colorful flowers and pushing against it gave a weird feeling, like pushing on soft stones made of plants, but seemingly wet, the door itself had no keyhole or doorknob, the key stopped pulsing when near this one.
"Is this supposed to help me find my door?" Arthur asked, holding up the key to his face.
Suddenly the key pulsed, like a dying heart on its last moments, but kept increasing in speed, it kept speeding up so much it jumped out his hand and started floating in the air, moving erratically.
"What is happening?!" Taking his eyes away from the key gave him something else to worry about. The doors were disappearing, collapsing in on themselves until only one remained.
A door entirely made of muscle, intestines, goldish purple veins and a single black heart that beat with a sickening squelch that made his now nonexistent heart pulse along with it.
Slowly the key that caused all this trouble, pulsed alongside the heart, hovering in front of it.
"Do I need to push it in?" He asked, his body tense at the sight of what was in front of him.
As if responding to the question, the heartbeat pulsed louder, so much so it hurt his ears, he had to cover them with his hands, but even that didn't help, the sound seemed to have no obstacles as it continued to echo within his head.
Out of panic he grabbed the key and forced it into the black heart, puncturing the thing that seemed to want to beat in his missing hearts stead.
The door bled green upon being pierced, releasing a horrible wail sounding like the cry of an abandoned infant, so high pitched the air itself started to distort. His mind couldn't take much more and with a click the door opened, revealing an empty void, sucking in the poor now unconscious [Explorer] inside into a new world.
