Poisoned

After Lander left, the people from the outcast village near the sunny village were amazed after they learned about how Lander won the competition without magic. Further, they were more thrilled when he made the Young Master Brokko scared witless after fighting with him.

This news was widespread by the young man who accompanied the Village Chief's daughter. He has learned of the recent events when he went to the Sunny Village to pick up the daughter of the Village Chief. At first, the other outcasts didn't believe the rumors but when some outcasts went to the Sunny Village, the words of the young man were authenticated by the commoners who had witnessed the events.

"Awesome!" One outcast shouted filled with reverence.

"He is our hope!" Another shouted with delight and hope.

"Terrifying but amazing!" One woman exclaimed with passion.

"Didn't he say that running is a training?" An outcast remembered the words of Lander.

Hearing that, there was a moment of silence when one of them shouted, "So would we be stronger if we do the running to train ourselves?"

Almost everyone got excited by that idea. And then following the track that Lander used to run, one of the outcasts started running, "I'll be starting my training now!"

Then one by one, they followed the one who started the running whether young or old, and men or women. Soon, sounds of running can be heard in every corner of the village which made the Village Chief dumbfounded, "I never expected the effect of that young man's action to agitated and thrill my fellow villagers."

Meanwhile, the person who caused these changes was still traveling on foot. He has no idea that he caused a commotion in the outcast village. If he was able to know this, he would be so proud of himself and would brag about it.

Stopping from time to time to chew the leaves of every plant he saw, Lander was curious about these plants he had never seen on Earth.

"Inuy-a, why are you chewing the leaves of every plant you see?" Yan Yan asked as she was bewildered by his actions.

"Experiment," Lander replied with no intention of explaining. He was doing this because he wanted to see if he could use these plants as an ingredient when he cooks.

A day had passed when they stopped at the peak of a mountain. It was quite windy but Lander made them a tent made of woods and branches of a tree. He was not an expert in this but he had to learn as he knew very well that this would be the adjustments he had to accept.

After an hour, he made them a tent with the help of Yan Yan who carries branches, and Grey who unexpectedly can pull a large trunk of tree using his mouth. Then they spent their night thereafter Lander made them dinner.

The next morning, they continued their running for two whole hours and spent an hour in training martial arts while Grey continued his running.

During the afternoon, they would again travel. As usual, Lander would stop every time he saw a plant he had never seen before. This scenario continued for three consecutive days until they arrived at the Thundering Town.

Upon reaching Thundering Town, the trio immediately looked for a place where they could stay. Unfortunately, just like the Sunny Village, outcasts aren't welcome to any accommodations in the town. So they decided to look around first.

The trio wandered on the streets of the town and they could feel the disgust of the commoners and elites when they looked at them. One elite pointed at Grey, "Hey look, a Rank D beast. We can have a fortune if we sell it."

Hearing that, Grey was so angered that it howled and gnashed its teeth ready to attack but Lander stopped him, "Don't!"

"Master, why?" Grey telepathically questioned.

"Just ignore them, if they touch you then we will have to attack," Lander explained telepathically.

And just what Lander expected, "Hey young man, you should just give that beast to us or we will beat you to death."

Lander's face darkened. Even if Grey was only a Rank D beast, he would not sell it or give it to people. He promised its parents to make it stronger so he should fulfill his promise.

"Grey is a family and if you wanted to harm him, come at me.," Lander exclaimed with intimidation.

The elites were intimidated for a while before they regained their composure. One of them sniggered, "HAHAHAH What a rubbish young man!"

"What an ignorant outcast," Another elite mocked.

"Foolish!" A reaction came from the audience.

"Let's go and deal with this man, he's an outcast and the beast is only a Rank D beast." One of the elites said.

"Yan Yan deal with that man and I'll deal with the rest," Lander pointed at the man who just talked.

"But..." Yan Yan was about to argue as she never experienced fighting in her life. Lander hasn't trained her yet by fighting her. But he has taught him the basics and he was confident that she could deal with only one man.

"No buts! Just go!" Lander shouted as he went towards this group of elites with Grey following behind.

"You want to deal with us? HAHAHAHA! What an ignorant young man," One of the outcasts teased but was suddenly punched in the face. This elite never expected how fast Lander was.

"How dare you!" The elite who was punched in the face was angered.

But Lander never stopped and continued fighting the other three using his martial arts. Yan Yan also joined the fun as she unleashed the accumulated experiences that Lander taught her. Grey didn't bother about the rest but he was angered by the man who wanted to sell him.

Two humans and one wolf, a combination that made the audience scared out of their wits. Moreover, those two humans were just outcasts but could easily deal with the elites. Some were awed and others mocked.

Lander who was facing three elites, "Come at me, try to use your magic, and let's see how you'll end up."

Lander has already touched these three elites through his punches and kicks. Yan Yan who was a beginner in fighting was able to land hits to her opponent. Of course, their opponents knew the result if they used magic on impulse. So they just fought Lander with their physique and tried to hit and kick. But how could those kicks and punches be compared to Yan Yan's stronger punches? Moreover, Lander's hits were more brutal.

Meanwhile, Grey, a wolf cub was also fighting one of the elites, which made the elite scared by how fast Grey was and how dangerous it was. Due to its accumulated running, Grey was faster than before and its physique was stronger.

Unexpectedly, one of the elites couldn't handle the shame and roared, "How dare you use your filthy hands to touch us! Don't you know that we are the elites? And we came from a promising family?"

"HAHA, I don't care what kind of background you have or whether you have a backing. You provoked us so you better face the consequences," Lander replied full of smiles.

"Hmmph! Since you know nothing. Dare to face the consequences." The elites who couldn't handle the shame of being beaten by an outcast took out his hidden sword and used it to fight Lander.

This sword has poison on it and only this elite knew about it. He slashed, trusted, and hacked it but Lander was so agile that he dodged those attacks. However, he never expected that while the man was attacking him, the other two elites who were a mage and an archer cast their attacks without magic on him secretly from a distance. The archer used his bow and arrow, the mage picked a stone and with his strongest effort, threw it to Yan Yan.

With no other choice, Lander chose to block the sword with the knife he used when cooking at the same time evading the arrow and stone by the two elites. "Kacha!"

However, a knife with no magic broke by a sword with fire magic embedded in it. Lander's arm received a cut and blood gushed out from it.

"HAHAHAH! Fool! This sword has the Boa Poison on it at the same time fire was embedded in it." The elite with the sword ridiculed Lander. He never thought that it was hard to defeat an outcast who never knew magic. But his arrogance returned after wounding Lander.

This time, Lander felt his arm numb. He knew that a person who uses poison has to have an antidote on his body. And with his swift action, he attacked the elite with the sword.

The elite with the sword was startled, he never expected that a man who was poisoned could still move so swiftly. He was about to thrust his sword when his hand holding the sword was grabbed by Lander who used this hand to swing the sword at his thigh. Then he felt a pain in his thigh. As he looked down, he saw blood coming out. He was poisoned by his sword.

The other elites who were engaged in a fight with Yan Yan and Grey and the other two a distance away from Lander stopped and a look of incredulous was plastered on their faces. They never imagined this scenario where an outcast was able to dodge the two attacks aimed at him. Also, he was able to block the attack of an elite who was a sword user. What was more astonishing was how he maneuvered and used the sword with poison to wound the owner of it.

"Bastard!" The elite with the sword cursed. "Quick! Retreat! Let's go to my father to ask for the antidote."

The elites who were dazed got back to their senses. But the other two who just came back from their shocked expression, who was the opponent of Yan Yan and Grey were subdued.

Yan Yan struck her fist on the man's head and the man became dizzy. Grey was able to headbutt its opponent and he howled in pain, "AARGHHH!"

Grey didn't stop as he started biting his opponent which made him cry in pain.

Watching this, the other two couldn't help but twitch their lips as they started to feel fear. Even the elite with the sword was scared. Without a second thought, they gathered the two who were subdued and ran away.

The onlookers felt like they were watching a movie with amazement, especially the commoners. It was a scene that would never happen. Two outcasts and a dog were able to make the elites scared. Moreover, two were subdued and one was wounded. They were even outnumbered so how were those elites scared?

This question popped into every onlooker's head. They never knew that the elites were the weakest among the elites. Even though they had more people, they were scared upon watching Lander and Yan Yan's agile movements and their vicious attacks. Then they were intimidated by the wolf cub savagery.

Lander who was wounded felt his body starting to get numb. He felt weak and he never expected that the elite wasn't carrying an antidote with him, "What a fucking stupid bastard!"

If others knew about this. They would also mock and ridicule that elite. They might even bully him.

Grey felt his master's body getting weaker which made him anxious, "Master!"

Yan Yan was also concerned, "Are you okay inuy-a?"

"Yan Yan tear a cloth then wrap it tightly on my upper arm," Lander ordered with a weak voice.

Yan Yan didn't question and seriously tore one of her clothes and wrapped it to where Lander was pointing. After that Lander told her to suck the blood and spit it out. Hearing that Yan Yan blushed and hesitated but she knew that if she wavers, Lander's fate would be horrible and she could never accept that. She's young but she feels amazement, comfort, and an obsolete trust everytime she's with Lander. So left with no choice, she did what Lander told her.

After that, Lander ordered Yan Yan to carry him out of the town and look for a safe place. Even though Lander's body was big and Yan Yan's body was small, she was able to carry him thanks to the constant training during the past few days.
