SECOND DINNER DATE

Jillyanna, with the help of her friend and doctor, bought all the things she wanted. He helped her carry her things to the old house and helped her arrange it in her fridge and cupboard.

"I'll have to leave you alone after this. I still have two appointments for my shift." Eliezer stated while placing the meat they bought in the freezer. He had his sleeved rolled up to his elbows, exposing his lean and pale arms. He looked scholarly with his glasses on.

Jillyanna made some orange juice for him and placed it on the table. "Thanks El. You helped me a lot. Let me treat you to dinner next time. I just hope nothing will come to disrupt my plans. I really hate it when things don't go my way." She stated with a little bit of frustration as she tucked her hair behind her ear.

"We knew that. I'm pretty sure you can pull things through. Just believe in yourself." Eliezer responded to her.

Jillyanna sent him to the hospital since he didn't bring his car. It was to avoid any inconvenience for him, too.

"I'll see you next time. Make sure to eat your meals on time. No skipping!" Eliezer reminded her making Jillyanna smile at him

"I know. I know. It won't happen again." she promised to reassure him.

"I'll go now. See you next time." he got off her car after bidding her goodbye. Jillyanna saw him talk to a pretty nurse before getting inside the hospital building.

She left after a few minutes and went back home. She had to get ready for dinner with Travis. She didn't want him to wait specially that she owed him big time.

Jillyanna took a quick shower and soaked herself in her bathtub for almost half an hour. After that, she got out of the shower room without anything on. She's always like that ever since since she was young. As long as she's inside her room, she'll wander around naked.

She opened her wardrobe and pick a burgundy dress from ZARA with a slit sleeves which goes up to her shoulders. It was just three inches above her knees and has a low neckline, exposing just enough skin of her white chest. It didn't expose her cleavage which was good enough for her.

She paired it with a Silver Stilettos from Stuart Weitzman which she got for her birthday when she was 18 years old. To match with her dress, she chose a burgundy Hermes bag.

She wanted to put some make up but she particularly hate them that night. She only wear bit of lip gloss and face powder.

She made sure that everything that should be locked was locked and that her security alarm was working.

She left her house and drove her car towards the restaurant that Travis booked for them. She arrived first but not long after, Travis also arrived in his white polo underneath his black suit.

His long legs strode towards her and for some reason Jillyanna felt her heart skip a beat. She frowned at the thought but just pushed it at the back of her mind.

"You look beautiful, tonight." Travis commented before taking his seat opposite her.

"Just tonight?" Jillyanna joked before taking a look on the menu.

"You're always pretty but you look exceptional tonight." he reiterated with additional thoughts.

"You don't have to praise me. My mind won't change just because of some flowery words. That won't work on me." Jillyanna smiled at him but that smile didn't reach her eyes.

Travis didn't know what to say. He was truthful to his words but it looked to him that she didn't believe in his words at all.

They started ordering their food for dinner and they talked about their daily life while waiting.

"What were you doing earlier? When I received your call, I think you were in a market." Actually, he just made a conjecture after hearing a man asked for her opinion regarding some items.

Jillyanna didn't deny it at all. She had her chin on her palm and her elbows on the table. "I was buying groceries with my friend."

Travis made an 'Oh' sound upon hearing her answer. 'It's really not good to judge things directly without knowing the truth.' He thought to himself knowing that he lost his composure earlier.

When their food arrived, they started eating quietly. They would talk occasionally but Jillyanna was more focused on her food. Travis chuckled when he saw her actions.

"What are you laughing at?" Jillyanna glared at him before eating a piece of dumplings.

"I didn't know you could eat this much. You're a bit petite for someone who could eat a lot." Travis answered while placing some Chinese braised chicken wings on her plate.

Jillyanna chewed on her food and swallowed it before responding to him. "I can eat more than this. If you want to make me your girlfriend, you should prepare yourself. I am not like other women who would go hungry for a date. I need to eat a lot."

Travis smiled at her. "With my savings, we can still live a lifetime with these much food."

"It doesn't really matter. I can feed myself." Jillyanna took back her words since it wasn't good to give someone some hope and actually take it. She'd rather be honest to him about his chances.

"You don't really feel anything for me? Nothing for my sweetness? No points for my face? No points for being a gentleman?" Travis asked her one after the other. He placed his chopsticks down and waited for her answer.

Jillyanna wasn't angry or upset at all. She placed her chopsticks down and faced him. "I told you before, I don't change my mind that easily. And besides, we don't know much about each other. Honestly, I don't like to involve myself in a relationship. I don't think we need to continue this two months of trial." Jillyanna picked up her chopsticks and put some dumplings on her plate once again. She always like dumplings.

"So I don't really have a chance? Not a little bit?" Travis asked once again.

"Why do you like me by the way? Is it because of my face, my body or my personality?"

These questions struck him dumb. Why did he like her? How could he answer that?
