The Late Night Thoughts

Even though I'd spent the rest of the day returning calls and scheduling meetings, my heart was light and happy, so working directly with people wasn't bothering me so much. It was a beautiful day outside —not that I could tell through the perpetual New York smog. Also it was nighttime— and I felt just as beautiful for some strange reason. I couldn't stop looking at myself and admiring my eyes. It had to be the new falsies I'd received as an influencer gift. That was the only explanation. They made my eyes look so beautiful and the red specks really jumped out in them.

"Ma'am," Hugo's voice came in through the intercom. "I'm clocking out for the day. Do you want me to reset your schedule for tomorrow or will you be wanting to do that yourself?"
