The Interview (pt. 2)

I removed my oven mitt and went around the counter to follow everyone into the living room. This interview would be one of the most important things to put me in the eye of the public, and I really wanted to ensure that nothing would go wrong. So much as a hint of hesitation on our faces could blow the whole thing out of the water.

Jason and I were good actors, but nothing could beat the semblance of real love. He said he loved me—or so I had heard him say—but he was a very talkative person so I never took it to heart. Who knew with this pregnancy, though. My emotions could get the better of me at any moment and blow the cover wide open.
