The Toxic Romance

"I thought I told you to take a nap." Jason strolled into the kitchen with one hand on his tie, pulling the knot down to loosen it while his other hand was deep in his pocket. His glasses were slightly skewed on his face, which was a testament to his frustration. He was adorable.

"I did nap." For like ten minutes, but he didn't need to know that. "I had to pump."

With the kids growing, my milk production had cut down to where I only needed to pump once a day, but there was still a nagging feeling in my chest area that made me feel like I was constantly full. It was uncomfortable, to say the least.

"You feeling okay?" He pulled a bottle of sparkling water out of the refrigerator and twisted the cap on it, eyeing me the whole time.

"I'm fine, just feeling emotionally worn out." My eyes narrowed in on the bubbles in my glass of water. "Court was stressful today."
