The Break-In (1)

"What's that?" My babysitter walked in with Broderick on her hip and a sippy cup in her other. My baby boy reached out when he saw me and cooed out the word 'mama' in his tiny baby voice. My heart melted.

"You remember that woman whose body they found multiple times? The airline heiress? The media hasn't stopped talking about her since her interview." I reached out for my son and took him from her arms.

"Poor girl."

"I feel bad for her." I could relate wholeheartedly, given that I was still technically in the media blacklist. Whenever my name was mentioned, some harmful conjecture was attached to it.

"She's been rumoured to have an affair with that oil guy from Italy ever since they came forward as business partners. " Sara shook her head and set the sippy cup down. "Publicity."
