The restraunt was small, and you could tell it was meant more for the exiles that didn't live where they worked. it's rare to see a place such as this, but not unheard of since the humans and elves want nothing to do with us, except for us to serve them. I wish I could live like them, a small freedom to live in a small house, but a freedom none the same.
"So I'm pretty sure you know all about my family, but I don't know anything about yours." Mars said.
"You know that cherry tree you always sit under when you're in the garden??" I responded.
"yeahhh, the one with the vines growing up it?"
"that's my parents."
Mars paused for a moment then asked, "What do you mean by that? How?"
"My mother she was beautiful in any form she took, many say she was one of the most beautiful, while my father, yes he was handsome, but not a guy every woman would throw themselves at. They had both lived for a century or two but only got married when your grandfather was still in charge of the estate, and when your father took over the estate he had seen my mother and had instantly wanted her to be his, but my mother was loyal to my father, but also knew she could not stop him if he tried anything, not unless she wanted to end up dead. So one night my mother and father had their last night of fun, and then my mother walked out into the garden, turned herself into her nature form, which was the cherry tree, and then she surrendered her life to the goddess. The goddess took pity on her and my father and I was born the next day at the base of my mother tree. My father found me and raised me by himself hoping I wouldn't be like my mother in fear your father would try to touch me instead. When he felt that it was guaranteed I was safe he walked out into the garden turned into his nature form of vines and grew up my mother's trunk and then surrendered his life to the goddess."
I finished my story and everyone in the restraunt was looking at me.
one guy said, "your one of the children of the goddesses mercy?"
I nodded, and Mars was still just looking at me, in amazement and questioning expecting an answer.
"word travels when the goddess is involved."
was all I said for an answer.
