I beacame a god (1)

After having fetched Em, they returned to their little apartment and Blake shut himself in his room after giving Em her dinner.

He lied on his bed thinking at how he was beaten up. He was still feeling pain on his belly. He just wanted to cry.What had he done to deserve that?

If not for Em he would have already left this world. After a couple of minutes of thinking about his life and past he felt asleep.

It was nearly midnight everything was calm the sky was clear. Sudenly a lightning bolt appeared of nowhere and crashed on Blake's apartment roof. Startled by the sound Blake woke up in a flash wondering what could make such a sound. curious by nature Blake needed to know what the heck was that thing.

After seeing that Em was still sound asleep he quickly got out of the apertment and practically flew to the roof.

There he saw a strange gem lying on the ground surrounded by burn mark or something. Carefully Blake went near the stone and picked it up.As soon as he did it disintegrated in his hand. Blake was confused how could it break so easily. At the same time he was scared l, What if that thing was precious, after further thought he decided to forget about it afterall if this thing was precious it would not be lying on a roof

He returned to his apartment and went back to sleep. However, his consciousness drifted to a weird location.

Blake was clearly still conscious but he wasn't in his body, right now he was in his soul form. That gave him chills, normally people can't see, feel or be as conscious as that while dreaming.Suddenly he hard a sound and saw a distortion infront of him. The area was being ripped apart and out of it came a dark hooded figure.

Who..who..who.. are you???

"Calm down blake there is no need to be scared."

Blake stood there motionles clearly not believing this thing in front of him.

"All right blake allow me to introduce myself.

I am the one known as the god of darkness.One of the six great god's in the universe.

As for you no need to introduce yourself as i know everything about you.

Now you are surely wondering what you are doing here right!

well! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! you are now the new god of darkness, well after i give you my teachings though.

Now let me introduce you yo your new world. Oh by the way time flows differently in here so 1 week here is like 1 hour on earth.

Hereafter I shall give my knowledge to you but you need to calm down first, just tell me when you are ready."

After listening to the weird guy, although not truly believing it Blake was weirdly not so scared. He calmed himself, looked around, pinched himself and when he was 90% sure that he was really living this thing he looked at the black figure and said "all right i'm ready."

"Good! Stand straight and don't move."

Then the hooded figure approached Blake and touched his forehead. As soon as he did that tons of information flew into Blake's mind.

He learned that there were hundreds of thousands of gods in the universe and all gods were ranked on a ranking list. At the top you had the strongest and it kept going down until you had the weakest god in last.

Most gods at the top of the list were dictators, after all they were the strongest existence in the universe and nobody could kill them.Those gods were worshipped by their followers and received lots of tributes. Moreover all gods had territories in the forms of planets or galaxies.

The higher a god was on the ranking the more territorries he had, some gods even had thousands of galaxies for themselves.Moreover all people worshipped the god to whom the planet he lived on belonged.

There were also planets that did not belong to any big god as they deemed that that planet was too far off from others or that the planet hadn't progressed far enough in terms of technology and wouldn't be able to communicate with the others.

But planets like that were also very important for gods at the middle of the list because they would be able to rule such planets which were rejected by the super powers and not get into sure to lose battles. Originally most average powered gods took those planets but were soon bored because they were too far off from others, so those gods lived without territories and were called stray gods.

Stray gods also consisted of those at the bottom of the list. Those gods couldn't even be considered as gods because they were so weak.

Some races such as dragons and elves could easily beat them and some were even weaker than normal humans. So people stopped treating them as gods and they weren't even allowed to own territories, not that they could to start with.

Speaking of dragon and elves each planet had a main creature which was stonger than others and made the main population of the planet.

For example on earth there were humans, some planets had elves, others werewolves or dragons...

Also there were planets where hundreds of races co-existed.Those planets were like the cities on earth, you could make a small comparison in which those planets would be London, New york or Paris where all races would live together.Other planets near those main one's would still be very big but not comparable and finally planets far away would be the small villages which nobody cared about apart from certain average gods which didn't like war.

Also earth was a very special planet in the sense that although it was far off and did not have the technology like the village planets, no gods were allowed to have this planet as it was used as a vacation spot for several gods which would often come here whent they wanted to relax.

(Now enough with planets as dimension travel will come later on in the story)

Now as for our god of darkness he was ranked 3rd in the heaven's list. (The six first god's are nearly similar in strength with only achievments seperating them in the ranking) ohh and also there may be two or more gods with the same title like there could be two god of sun but they were differentiated by their ranking.As for darkness in the whole history of the universe there was always only one person per generation who could hold this title so you won't be seeing two god of darkness.
