Chapter 63: To Live Forever

Grant knocked on the door near the top floor of the Justice building. He put his thumb on the biometric lock with the usual twinge of fear. If he didn't clear, the lock would send enough electricity through him to kill him on the spot. Grant didn't like the idea of dying. The door opened and he walked through one room and into the next. He'd stopped noticing the crude appearance of the room. All he cared about was the thin figure attached to countless wires and tubes reclining on the bed.

"I see things are coming to a head." Councilor Molloy walked in through the other door.

"The boy doesn't know anything about his father's plans. He appears very healthy for a clone if he is one."

"Mulholland must have a reason for having the boy made."

"Not everything is about immortality."
