Martin saw a flash of movement ahead, between two cars. Truscot saw it too because he snapped his gun forward and started running toward the movement. Martin felt his pulse race and he wanted to sprint after Truscot and get there first. Bill was already charging and holding his pole like a spear. Martin forced his feelings away and dashed after them. He tried to remember how long between the sighting and the attack on the video. Ten seconds? Five? He ran and felt a push to run harder, the enemy was ahead.
