Chapter 41

Branches lashed against Charlotte as they raced through the forest. Blindfolded and tied securely to the horse, she couldn't use her hands to protect herself, nor could she see. She knew her face and neck bled from scratches, and her body had also suffered as they rode quickly through narrow paths. They seemed to ride for an eternity, but where they were going she had no idea. She was just grateful to be alive.
