Talokta had left the meeting room switched full on to panic mode, though an observer would not know this by the stonewall expression. Whatever was going on he had to get to the bottom.
He hoped the Supreme Ruler was too busy to worry about his unexpected departure, no time could be wasted in explanation. The report he received from the guard via Chotar consisted of a vague excuse from a normally deadly precise soldier, which duly sent alarm bells ringing. Chotar not using his Zring told him something was terribly wrong, and he could only speak to him in person.
A break in
He had to get to the bottom of this first hand. With security supposedly at full alert, to quote his boss the slightest indiscretions had to be investigated, and he was ultimately responsible.
