Kalvich quietly knocked on Leahs door.
He expected there would be no answer.
Using his ring, he entered the security code to open her door and slipped inside. The living area was in total darkness, as it was extremely late it did not surprise him. With the day's events, he hoped she would have got some quality sleep.
His desperation to see her never faltered. He would be satisfied sitting by her bedside, watching her sleep. When she woke he hoped she would be willing to talk about how she was feeling. The fury he felt was long gone, partly due to his strenuous workout, and mostly because he was deeply in love.
It was a miracle she was still here. He was sure being inside his Casus Belli helped her appreciate the power she could have, which could be his saving grace.
He could no longer wait, she was so close he had no choice.
