Kalvich held back a burning smile from plastering over his face and casually stated, “I have heard of this place—Ahmadeus, a very beautiful place indeed. I can take you there if you wish, I—”

“—You, can take me there! IT IS REAL! But two moons must mean it is more than a little faraway if you know what I mean.” She gestured out to the sky.

“Can you do special things, like Cemel?”

He looked at her a moment. He could not think of anywhere else in the Universe he wanted to be, but with this gorgeous, intelligent, and badly neglected woman. It was almost a crime what Sidonio and Cemel did to her. It was also becoming harder to concentrate in order for him to stay focused. He put a reassuring hand on her shoulder, “I have a lot to tell you, and perhaps it would be a good idea to talk to you tonight, after your celebration. Let’s put that behind us first.”
