Chapter 279: The Awakening Part 6

All these thoughts and plans flowed through his mind as he sat on Sidonio’s throne within the Palace. He stared at Leah’s ornate one, lost in thought. The very same throne that he had moved to his Casus Belli, now stored waiting for her return.

The guard he had ordered outside Leah’s door had appeared before him and was waiting for Kalvich to notice him.

Kalvich sat up and nodded at him to speak.

“Sire, I beg your pardon. Her majesty is awake and is requesting an audience.”

“I will be right there.”

“Err, she has asked if she can see her husband, and the alchemist, and the other one claiming to be Cemel—with yourself—all together—”

Kavich stepped down from the throne and brushed past the guard, “Very well, see to it.”

The hapless guard had taken a breath and had every intention to finish what he needed to tell him but Kalvich had gone.

His last words faded in the air, “—she is not very happy.”
