However, he was second in command of an enormous fleet, an intelligent and articulate man and it was not in his nature to disobey direct orders.

And Lord Xarva was still curious.

Before he could open his mouth she said, “I want to know more about the Trimadians as a whole. I need to know so—so I will know what lines not to cross and who better to hear it from but the warrior’s own direct commander.”

He could have easily ignored her and told her that she must simply obey, but he thought for a moment. She could be telling the truth, or she could have something else in mind against the Trimadians. But what could she do in her position?
