Now alone, the chaotic debris-filled tornado slicing through her brain dissipated once her energy merged in and through the great fortress. Surprisingly, a mix of melancholy, wistfulness and a warm feeling of coming home gripped her. The change was so powerful, it made her gasp at the revelation of what she had lost—what she thought was her home. Her essence was still deeply embedded inside the cold stone edifice, and likewise, it was embedded in her. She had willingly let it.

An ache tugged at her heart. She shook her head to focus on her current goal. To end all this, settle down—somewhere—as long as she was safe.
