Chapter 29: Distraction

Before any of us can say anything to that, she perks again. "I'm going to sneak in though and see if I can distract them." Like she already had this plan in mind before she even came down here to talk to me.

"You've lost your mind," I say. "What do you expect to do, just waltz in there and sit down for dinner?" Yes, my stomach is definitely interested in those food smells despite my efforts otherwise.

She winks at me. "Silly, I don't ask for anything, you should know that by now." "It's too dangerous," Vosh says while Damaris shrugs.

"I think she should go," the paladin says while my arm embed twinges and the BL letters glow faintly red. The hero in me struggles against the need to keep the halfling

safe from all threats. Ridiculous under the circumstances, and yet a part of me as much as the embed in my arm. "She has the best chance of sneaking around up there. If we try a frontal assault, we're done."
