Why did Mafdel seem so upset by Seshat's suggestion? "Is he the Egyptian god of Chaos?"

Seth answered that. "He is." And nothing more. Interesting, but might actually be more helpful than Seshat thought.

"That's easy then," I said. "If he's the answer we need, doesn't that suggest a logical course of action?" No one seemed to be following where I was leading them so I made it obvious. "We track down all the gods in each Pantheon who represented Chaos during her absence and... what? Use them to find the Ogdoad?" The uncomfortable stares of all but Tulip made me stop and look to each face with confusion, my turn not to get it. "Well?"

"That's not how it works." Seshat fidgeted, clearly uncomfortable. "I'm pretty sure Apophis isn't Ogdoad."
