Chapter 102: Sister Dear

I sat in my private quarters with the sweet child at my feet, gurgling in her utter joy over the toys Adam offered her. It was hard not to smile, not to think that maybe Isis gave me a gift despite all she'd done to bring Delilah into Creation. How could I think badly of the sweet, innocent toddler who stuffed a handful of the little toy centaur into her mouth with her huge, blue eyes staring into Adam's like she could see into his soul?

"And the Pantheons have admitted you had nothing to do with its instability in the first place." She seemed lost a moment. "I was so sure... but I guess my doom and gloom was wrong." I wasn't going to complain about that right now, pretty happy to find out, for once, the Repository archivist had been misled by her research. "They blame the real culprit at last."
