Chapter 173: Private Time With Tulip

Rather than go home, I returned to the Repository for some private time with Tulip. I missed her intensely, the quieter and more innocent times we'd spent, exploring the halls and galleries of the archive, evading watchful pixies and her parents who would only put us to work if they caught us, thinking back, as I strode the muddled, crowded main thoroughfare leading from the entry and the giant foyer toward the Repository proper.

Sad to think we'd never have those days again. She was head archivist, Oak and Blossom passed on and I had my own realm to take care of.

Not to mention the pending end of Creation.

I found Tulip still in her office, though thankfully she'd set aside the Prophecy of the Angels and was perusing some other book bound in black leather, the ivory pages covered in some scrawling script I couldn't read but made my eyes water trying to decipher it.
