Chapter 180: Time's Up

This was literally the last thing I had expected. It couldn't just happen like this, not now. There had to be some further warning, some buildup that I could track, a timer-

Yeah, okay, but more than what we'd had.

Chaos informed me in no uncertain terms we had been given all the opportunities necessary and that the inevitable was finally here, so stop whining about it and take action before it's too late. Because there was stillness in the Crosspath, the emptying of the hourglass triggering, not an explosion (my first worry), or a bright light (okay, so the Heaven thing wasn't out of the literal realm of possibility and the Angels did have that stupid prophecy of theirs), or even a booming voice declaring now was the time for war (sure, that one sourced from too many video games, but my brain wasn't working completely correctly, so cut me some slack).
