Shattered Remnants of a Dream

The four Knights continued walking. Graffiti tattooed the walls of filthy streets littered with discarded junk of both the mechanical and human variety. While the technology was vastly superior to that of anything Eden had seen on Earth, the sad state of the streets below the labyrinthine highways and shimmering buildings seemed to dull the luster.


"Another reason for the tournament being held here," Azuka went on, "is that the police are just as corrupt as everyone else. Violent criminals with high bounties on their head aren't stupid enough to set foot in well-policed cities like Ieon."


"The Dark Zodiacs certainly weren't afraid," Eden spoke up.


"Yes, they been very desperate as of late," Azuka said. "And I imagine they'll be even less inhibited in this environment."
