Matthew O. Duncan is part of the resurgence of Old School Sci-fi.  His books are a mix of Military Sci-fi, Fantasy, Romance, and Mystery weaved together with non-stop action.  Matt started his writing career as a playwright. He won a number of awards and had his plays produced on local stages.  He put his pen down in the late ’90s but picked it up again in 2011.

With armies from all the Kingdoms already in route to New Wall, the Kings sent out dispatches with the fastest Kanis-steedsmen to redirect them to meet at Bryerstone.  It would still take some days for the armies from the other kingdoms to arrive, so they spent the time preparing for the worst starting with an accounting of their troops.  Between the working weapons captured from the Serkens and the ones that could be repaired, they had enough to supply a garrison for each Kingdom.  Also collected was the debris from the destroyed enemy troop Carrier which proved useful as the repair bots were put to work fashioning more weapons and shield generators from the wreckage.
