"I will Not let Them do Whatever They Want"

Kenneth opened the door and closed it behind him. He looked at the sturdy but handsome middle-aged man sitting opposite the office. The man has white hair with some strands a grayish. He had brown eyes.

Kenneth waited for his father to call him, avoiding disturbing him while he was reading some papers.

Some minutes passed until the man lifted his head and saw Kenneth waiting for him.

"It's good to see you here," his father said while putting down the papers he was reading.

"Why did you call me for?" Kenneth asked coldly. He didn't like his father.

"Can't I ask how is doing my son and heir?" his father asked without any change in his voice.

Kenneth lifted one of his brows.

"Haha, you really resemble me," his father laughed and continued with a smile, "I asked you to come here for one reason: it's time for you to find a partner."

Kenneth was a bit surprised with the words of his father, but then remembered that his father was planning his sister's marriage.

"Saying this, I'll give you until New Year Eve to tell me who's your partner and if I approve him," his father continued smiling, but Kenneth felt that he was looking at a cold beast devouring everything within his eyesight.

"I understand, also, I have something I would like to ask you" Kenneth looked at his father coldly, "Why are you arranging Felicia's marriage with a non-influential family?"

"That's not your business," his father answered frankly.

"It's my business if it involves my sister's happiness," Kenneth retorted.

His father looked at him with cold eyes and anger. He was losing his patience.

Kenneth knew that his father was going to yell at him, but he was determined to know the reason of that marriage.

"The person she is going to marry your sister is good-looking and smart, I doubt that your sister wouldn't be happy with him, furthermore, he is a gentleman and a good honest man," his father said with anger in his voice, but his face was as emotionless as always.

Kenneth looked at him with his beautiful blue eyes for a long time and finally left the office.

He was upset with his father.

Suddenly, a little girl with white hair combed in pigtails bumped onto him. Kenneth was taken aback and looked down where the kid was rubbing her head.

"Ouch!" she expressed.

"Dayana, you must be more careful when playing and running on the corridors, od course, it would better if you stop running," Kenneth said to her youngest sister.

"Ha?" the little girl felt puzzled when she heard Kenneth's voice.

She looked up at his brother and a bright smile appeared in her childish face.

"KENNETH!!!" she yelled happily with her sparkling brown eyes. She jumped up and hugged his big brother, "You came for Christmas as you promised"

"I'll never let down my two little sisters," Kenneth smiled warmly while carrying Dayana.

"You know, Feli made delicious cupcakes," the girl began to talk with her brother merrily.

They arrived in the living room where Felicia was waiting with some cupcakes and a teapot. A servant was near, ready to serve the young master and ladies.

"You finally are here," Felicia looked at her two siblings, smiling.

They began to chat about what they did while being outside. Dayana heard her two siblings with curiosity, waiting for her permission to leave the mansion and know the outside world. They have a good time together, their mother joined them after an hour, and, finally, their father arrived and took a sip of the high-quality tea the servant poured him. When he arrived, the atmosphere began to tense between Kenneth and his father, however, they didn't discuss. After some hours passed, and the tea and cupcakes finished, Kenneth threw the question he wanted to ask his sister Felicia.

"Felicia, what are your thoughts about the arrange marriage?" Kenneth asked seriously.

After the question was asked by Kenneth, his father and mother tensed.

"Lilian, take Dayana to her room. She is already sleepy," his mother called a maid.

The maid named Lilian took the sleepy Dayana in her arms and left the living room.

"..." Felicia was without words. Her parents just told her the other day.

"Kenneth..." her mother tried to ease her son.

"We already discussed this matter, unless the other party has someone he loves, I'll withdraw," his father said calmly.

"I'm asking Felicia opinion," Kenneth pressed.

"I-I think i-is something unexpected," Felicia stuttered.

"Felicia, you want to marry someone, don't you?" her mother, Gloria, asked her concerned.

Kenneth felt that that was a trick question, but Felicia answered first.

"Yes!"

"So you'll marry that guy," her father, Gustav, answered frankly, "And you, Kenneth, I'll find someone to marry you with," he sentenced.

"But if that guy already loves someone, I'll be spared, right?" Felicia suddenly asked, leaving both her parents with confused looks while Kenneth smiled.

"Yes, that's part of the deal" Kenneth answered before his father changed his words for others more convenient.

With the question Felicia made, Kenneth understood that there where two reasons for that: first, she didn't want to marry someone for the time being, and second, she loves someone already but didn't want to tell their parents. These two possibilities gave Kenneth time to make Mijail fall for him or at least made his parents understand that he loved Mijail.

"Mother, I have someone I would like to invite to our Christmas party, of course, he will come the next week; remember you let me invite some friends to stay at our home for a week," Kenneth began to plan how he would make Mijail fall in love with him. A strange smile appeared in his lips.

Gloria looked at her son and understood that he will bring someone rather important for him after looking at his face. Gustav didn't pay attention to him.

"Alright, I'm waiting to meet your friends," his father simply said and left the living room towards his office to finish his work before the Christmas party.
