Cole seems to be full of good ideas. When the group comes to a halt some time later, Reid sees the boy reluctantly
handing off something to Marcus. The front of it flickers in the intermittent light as Marcus straps it on his wrist.
A watch. Cole's watch. And Marcus stole it from him. Reid's stomach clenches at the same time as his fists. He's never
been a violent person, at least off of the sports field, but he's also never hesitated to stand up for those who needed
to be protected. His father made sure of that.
It takes several minutes for Reid to get his temper under control, enough that he is able to keep his ideals to himself.
He continuously asks himself why he cares just so he can be reminded he doesn't.
He just wishes he is a better liar.
Reid agrees with one thing. Timing their breaks makes a whole lot of sense. They have to keep moving but offering
periodic rests can help to keep the kids motivated.
