Chapter 164: The Realm

I grinned my way across the veil, the short distance between this plane and the realm of the Sidhe. Green grass, an impossibly blue sky, the smell of summer, wrapped me in the glamour of the plane. I strolled my way toward the trees in the distance, covering ground at a rapid pace. More magic. Aoilainn was playing games, as usual.

I was therefore unsurprised, as I crossed over and began my walk toward the Seelie court, to find a familiar face waiting for me on the other side of the silver bridge, his white horse's long mane blowing in the breeze.

"Prince Thalion," I said, not sure if I should be happy to see him or not. We'd parted last as sort of friends. But I had no idea if Aoilainn's alleged tampering on my plane-I was willing to give her a tiny benefit of the doubt-had changed that.
