Chapter 32: New Laws

The moment court wrapped, Henemordonin ran off faster than I could follow. It didn't help, as he left, he informed the

entire family I had an important announcement.

"Ruler," he said, stepping down from the throne, "you may proceed." He then retreated while I gaped at him with my mouth

open.

It only took a moment to firmly state I did not, in fact, have anything further to say, but it was long enough for my

grandfather to stride off and disappear down the elevator. I pursued him as quickly as I could without looking like I was

chasing him. I'm sure everyone knew something was up, because the whispering of the mass of demons I'd begun to see as a

single, faceless entity wrapped in fancy clothing and immense hairstyles started long before I was out of earshot.

Henemordonin has just entered his office, Sequoia sent as I impatiently waited for the elevator platform to return to the
