Chapter 4

Even though, the meeting with Eric Bent and Charles Maxwell didn't went well in the beginning, Charles came to belief he was an alright guy to date his cousin, after they had done interrogating her about him.

With Ms. Maxwell, jokingly stating that any man who took it upon himself to bring a woman three whole bouquets of flowers at once must be a keeper!

Especially since, there were so many women she had known whose significant other wouldn't even give them a single rose, much less, three very large nicely decorated basket of budded plants, even after giving them children!

Charles found his mother's comments to be amusing; however, he was quite serious about the entire matter and very concerned about his cousin going out with the right guy.

Warning her to be patient with herself and not to pour her entire soul into the relationship just yet; because he didn't want her ending up severely heartbroken like other family members who had experienced the same thing in the past; leaving them into a detrimental state of being.

Furthermore, since Corny was an only child and both her parent were disease, Charles wanted her to be on secure grounds, especially when it came to matters of the heart! Because when things gets messy, and they usually do, he would be the one who usually has to step in, and make things right, which oftentimes didn't turn out favorable on his behalf!

Causing him to get a few blows here and there, and at other times, he would find himself sitting on the hard benches at the police station so as to squash the matter and settle the charges!

Which he now thought, he was too old to be in verbal squabbles and physical altercations over man and woman, and boyfriend and girlfriend relationship issues!

Obediently, Corny heeded her cousin's warning, promising him that she would never force anything to happen that she wasn't quite ready to happen just yet! Before deciding on bringing one of her lovely bouquet of flowers to her bedroom and leaving the other two downstairs to add some life to the living-room and keep her aunt's spirit young cheerful!

In her bedroom, Corny opened up the basket of flowers and noticed that Eric not only had brought her flowers, but that he had also written a note a placed it inside the basket along with silver and gold wrap chocolate kisses!

"This guy is really filled with romantic spunks!"

She thought.

After carefully reading the note, Corny raced back down to the downstairs of the house where she opened up the other two baskets of flowers, to see if Eric had placed a note inside of them well!

And sure enough, he did!

All three baskets had a note in them and shiny wrappers with chocolate candy which Corny began removing from the basket and began stuffing them inside her mouth!

It was a sweet treat she enjoyed while wondering, if Eric would ever break her heart and bring pain at her doorsteps!

By now, Corny had opened all three envelopes and read the letters which were enclosed within them... basically, they all were saying the same thing; except for one!

One letter which was only repeating whatever he had been explaining to her; prior to him leaving for the Airport!

Explaining in details the job offer he had gotten, how he will be operating his own gas station soon and how he believe he would be making enough money that would secure their future! And he went on to extend an offer to her that he would like to help pay for her college fees; if she would allow him to do so for her!

Eric's generosity had captured Corny's soul, and she wondered if it would be possible for her to ever meet another man like him who genuinely wanted to see to her needs like he did?

The kind words written on the paper had deeply touched Corny's heart, causing her to retrieve to her room where she has let lose all her emotions, as she hope and prayed that Eric would be this same kind of a man to her forever!

So far, he had only displayed to her true kindness!

Understanding, thoughtfulness and a determination that he would be there for her supporting her in all that she wanted to do in life!

In her state of weeping, fantasying and worrying about Eric never changing or betraying her, there came a knocking on the door of her bedroom!

Hastily drying her eyes and looking in the mirror to see if the evidence of her sorrow wasn't too visible, Corny open her bedroom door to see her aunt standing in the door way!

It wasn't something she had done often, but she had climbed the stairs and knocked on her niece's door to check if she was doing alright and have some form of dialogue with her about this man who seemed to have shown so much interest in her!

The both ladies sitting on the side of the bed talking for hours about what can possible go wrong and all that can possible go right, but in her aunt's opinion, Eric was a keeper and she encouraged her niece to respect him and treat him well!

However, if his attitude should ever change towards her, her door would always be open to receive her back in!

In their deep discussion about Eric Bent and the future they both might have together, Corny swear to her aunt that she would treat him well, but, there was no way she was going to move in with him, or have anything too serious with him until she had finished her schooling and had in her hands the certificate stating that she is a qualified hotel manager.

She was adamant about finishing school and she was also adamant about Eric putting a ring on her finger before him taking her virginity!

And for that entire week, Corny tried to condition her mind into thinking about what she wanted for herself and also what she wanted from the new relationship she was engaging in with Eric Bent. A man who had been admiring her for over four years now, but had just gotten the courage to make his move on her; the woman he has been dreaming about for such a long time!

Because financially, he wasn't prepared for having a relationship with her, believing that he wouldn't be able to treat her the way he thought she deserved to be treated or had presumed, she would have wanted him to treat her.

With her head tightly screwed onto her body and a week away from Eric, Corny now made a concrete decision about what she wanted for herself; deciding that Eric will not bed her unless he had placed a ring on her finger in front of many witnesses.

At the start of the working week, Corny went to work as usual knowing that Eric wouldn't be at the outside of the gas station lingering around, hoping to see her as she passes by. A gesture she had become very accustomed to and somewhat was now missing.

But she wouldn't be missing him for too much longer!

Since, six days had come and gone and Eric was back on the soil of his homeland; Jamaica, and before heading home to his community at Mountain View, he called the Windom Hotel requesting to speak with Corny Thousands, if she was available!

However, she was on stage doing her number at the time of his call and was told he could leave a message or call back to speak with her around thirty-five minutes later!

And so he did; but yet still, Corny was still unavailable to speak with him!

Filled with anxiety and longing desperately to see her and hear her voice again, Eric came up with even a much better plan! Deciding on driving to the Windom Hotel and waiting in the lobby of the hotel until he had seen some sign of her when she was on break from the stage! And if that didn't work, he would then sit in his car and wait for her in the hotel parking lot until the company's van was there to pick her up and bring her home like he had done a few months ago!

An hour later, Eric was pulling up in the Windom Hotel parking lot searching for a spot to park his vehicle which was a daunting task for him since it was the weekend and the hotel had a very pack auditorium.

Because, not only were the cabaret dancers performing that night, but other entertainers from abroad were there at the hotel performing as well!

Driving around for a good forty-five minutes, Eric finally found a spot to barely park his car in some corner of the premises after repeatedly pleading and negotiating with the security-guard overseeing the activities of the parking lot; that he wouldn't long because he wasn't there for the show but meet someone the hotel lobby!

Given the permission to park his vehicle, Eric slammed the door to his car and hurry towards the lobby of the hotel where he began inquiring from the clerk at the front desk if the dancers had already come off stage as yet?

He was told they were, but had just gone back on to the stage to do another number in which they wouldn't be off again until around the next hour or so!

Eric grew frantic after hearing the disappointing news, and began fearing that the security guard would soon be coming after him since he had told him that his stay wouldn't be long in the hotel lobby!

Frantically looking here and there hoping he would soon see some signs of the cabaret dancers heading back to their dressing rooms and after a few minutes and no luck, Eric eagerly raced back to his car fearing that the guard's man would see him as untrustworthy!

As soon as Eric entered his car and began reversing from the spot where his car had been parked, there came a downpour of rain which seemed to be a never ending shower!

The windscreen wipers on and cruising around searching for anther parking spot where he could put his car, Eric drove around for at least another hour before finding somewhere to park his car! And there in the car he sat, waiting for day break to come when Corny would be leaving work for home; so he could see her, touch her and hold her in his arms before heading home from the Airport.

Eric tried making himself comfortable in his car while waiting for his darling work shift to be over so he could just wrap his arms around her, full her face with kisses and tell her how much he loves her before placing in her hands all that he had brought back for her from the Cayman Island!

So he turned on the radio to one of his favorite radio stations, placed the gifts he had brought back for her on the passenger seat beside him, and then dropped his car seat backwards while he elevated his feet to the dash board of his car and patiently waited for that moment to come when he would pleasantly surprise Corny!

Looking her dead in the eyes and warmly wrapping his arms around her before journeying along to his dwelling place!

Eventually, the music in the radio became like tranquilizers to Eric, sending him off into deep sleep after he had been bopping his head to each tune as they came along! Desperately, he tried staying awake, but, the call of nature was far too stronger than his will... he was just too tired from his travelling to stay awake!

And to his surprise, he wasn't awake until broad daylight when cops who were serving traffic tickets had come along knocking on his car window ordering him to remove his vehicle before they gave him a ticket! Because the workmen responsible for sweeping the street were there to carry out their duty; complained about his car being there and was impeding them from doing their duty!

Shocked that he had caused this catastrophe so early in the morning, Eric earnestly apologize to the officers before turning the key in the ignition and hastily speeding away from the spot like he was initiating a chase!

It was nine-thirty in the morning and Eric was in awe!

He just couldn't believe he had spent the entire night on the street sleeping in his car waiting to surprise Corny!

Now he was slamming his fest against the staring wheel of his car, extremely disappointed that his plans hadn't work out the way he had expected them to!

He began mumbling that he should have driven straight home from the Airport and sleep into his bed so he would have to be facing such embarrassment!

Frantically, he tried forgiving himself; but forgiveness wouldn't come until he was home, showered and went to bed!

Eric had no plans for heading into work that Monday!

It was a day he had reserved for spending time with Corny and to update her on his trip and whatever he had learned and had accomplished in the Cayman Island!

But now everything had gone a wired - all his plans had turned sour!

Sedated into another three hours of sleep, Eric eyes weren't open again until two o'clock in the afternoon in which all his mistakes were now forgiven and he was back in his car driving his way over to Pembroke Hall community to see Corny!

From the moment his eyes were opened she was on his mind, and he wanted to see her and only her!

He presumed that when he had gotten to her house she still might be bed resting from her tiresome night at work, but, he didn't care if she was still sleeping, because he wanted to hold her close to his body and pour the love that he had in his heart into her!

He wanted to smell her perfume, feel her soft and firm flesh against his as he held her close to him!

Franticly, he wanted to be in her presences again and again, because in her presence, he always felt like the man who god had created him to be... confident, self-assured, hopeful and relevant!

And as he tooted horns, sped through green lights, took all the short-cuts that he knew to get to her community, Eric was there at Corny's house less than thirty-five minutes even though, there had been very dense traffic on the roads!

Pulling his car up at the gate like a maniac and jumping out of it like there was an emergency he urgently needed attending to, Eric nervously stood at the gate, calling out Corny repeatedly!

With his third call and she not responding, he began calling out for Ms. Maxwell to came to the gate and grant him permission to enter the yard!

Minutes later, Ms. Maxwell was standing at her gate, in front of Eric, smiling and greeting him while expressing to him that Corny was still in her room and haven't come down stair to eat ever since she had gotten home from work that morning.

She now had her hands on the latch of the gate racking it back and forth so as to open it and let Eric in, and immediately after she had let him inside the yard, Eric folded his arms around her gently and pressed his lips against her cheeks before taking his position on the front porch.

There chat was brief with her asking him when he had returned home from the Cayman Island and if his business venture had been successful?

In which he replied that all went well and even much better than he had expected.

He was glad for her concerns, but right now, is only concern was laying his eyes on Corny and hold her into his arms!

And right in the middle of her interrogation, Eric nicely stopped her and asked her please to go and get Corny for him which she raced off and did after seeing the desperation in his eyes!

But, Corny was sleeping like a log and it took Ms. Maxell several hours to awaken her after rocking her back and forth and shouting out her name quite a number of times before she had gotten any response from her!

"My goodness Corny, you almost gave me a heart attack!"

Ms. Maxell Alarmed.

"I have been rocking you, shaking you, pinching you as hard as I possibly could, and yet still, you wouldn't budge!"

She went on to say.

"Is that job getting too much for you?"

Ms. Maxell asked bluntly.

"No aunt Annett, but last night we had to work much harder than usual and we practically didn't get any break from the stage since we had a packed house!"

Corny explained.

Corny was now sitting at the side of the bed and her aunt sat beside her with her arms wrapped around her shoulders as she told her od Eric presences in the house!

"Eric is here... here right now!"

Corny exclaimed.

Smiling and rubbing her shoulders, Ms. Maxwell nodded her head to confirm that he was her in their house and was anxiously asking to see her!

"Oh my god, he is here without calling me first! This man is too unpredictable for me!"

Corny anxiously expressed!

Now she was up from the side of her bed and racing to the bathroom to freshen up and brush her hair so she would scare Eric and have him racing back through the gate after seeing her!

While in the bathroom, Ms. Maxwell returned to the downstairs of the house to tell Eric that Corny will be right with him, but upon her arrival he was nowhere on the front porch!

Shock of his absences, Ms. Maxwell eagerly hurried towards the front gate where she could see more clearly on the streets and there she saw Eric bent over in his car fumbling for something or with something which she presumed it to be some more bouquet of flowers which he had brought her gorgeous and beautiful niece, Corny!

Causing her to think, he would soon be transforming her entire house into a botanic garden!

However, after Eric had ease himself from the car and closing the car door behind him as he walked back to the house, she noticed that he only had a medium size gift bag in his hands with what seems to be some clothing pouring from the top of it!

As he entered through the gate, Ms. Maxwell explained to him that Corny will be down with him shortly as soon as she had gotten all the sleep from her eyes!

Minutes later, Corny was heading towards the front porch of the house wearing an off the shoulder orange top and a white background flower skirt looking radiantly beautiful!

And like a true gently man, Eric raise to his feet and greeted her with arms wide open and the biggest smile on his face like he was hungry and she was a delicious meal for him to devour up!

His holding on her wasn't momently this time, but for quite a couple of minutes telling her and whoever else was watching that she indeed very special and had meant something!

Not having the audacity to interfere with their moment of loving embrace, Ms. Maxwell slowly excuse herself from the front porch of the house and entered the kitchen where she began making herself busy for no specific reasons!

There in the kitchen, she could hear the two love birds pecking away at each other like woodpeckers chipping away at dry wood; and wondered if Eric was always this romantic kind of a fellow!

Their moment of adoration and affection had now ceased and Eric began removing the items from the gift bag which he had brought back from his business trip for Corny.

And one by one he placed each item into her hands until they were up to her chin while he continued to pronounce to her jokingly...

"This is for you, and this is for you, and this is also for you, and I just believe, this also will look very good on you and this too!"

Eric wasn't only thinking of his love interest Corny but, Ms. Maxell as well!

Soon after loading the gifts into Corny's hands until they were touching her chin, Eric Called Ms. Maxwell back to the front of the house where he handed her a colorful scarf, a bottle of perfumed lotion which she immediately had fallen in love with its aroma as soon as she had open the bottle and placed it to her nostrils!

Along with two medium size bottles of peach and strawberry body-wash which she also loved as well!

It wasn't items she was in need of; but she thanked him anyway before returning to the living room of the house and resting them on the couch there.

And from there she shouted at Eric, asking him if he would like something cool to drink in which he accepted.

In the meantime, corny was inside her bedroom holding each item Eric had brought back for her against her skin and admiring how well each and every item looked against her body, and she thought, he had done very well!

But, as soon as Corny had returned to the front porch pleasingly smiling, Eric reached for her hands, placed a kiss on her forehead and reminded her of their date that upcoming weekend, which she nodded her head to confirm that she knew an remembered their plan.

Not long after, Ms. Maxwell was bringing a tray with glasses of freshly squeezed juices which she had intended for all three of them to enjoy while they circle in a moment of social conversations.

However, Eric had only taken two sips from his glass of what seemed to be pineapple and cherry juice mixed together, because for most part, his thirst was already quenched once he had set his eyes on Corny's beautiful face; held her in his arms and had his lips all over her cheeks like he was slurping after a dripping ice cream cone!

Shortly afterwards, Eric picked her up from off the floor, placed her onto his lap like she was a little child who he wanted scold! And while on her lap he continued to love on her softly, massaging her all over her body while telling her about the ordeal he had this morning with the police officers after spending the night on the street in his car waiting up for her to finish working!

"Babe, I am so very sorry that we had missed each other this morning, or else we could have ride home together this morning!"

Corny express to Eric while gently rubbing on his face and staring into his dark brown eyes!

"Well, I didn't receive a traffic ticket, I made it home safely and I am here with you now my darling; so I'm quite happy!"

Eric loving expressed, as he playfully wrapped his fingers between hers and gazed into her baby brown eyes!

And there on the front porch of Ms. Maxwell's house, the two heart throbbing lovers folded themselves into each other arms and chatted until it was time for Eric to journey back home!

But before that time came, Eric discussed with Corny about their date for the upcoming weekend as he implore that she should get enough rest before he came to pick her up because he intended for them to have a very marvelous time when he took her out!

In which, she smiling nodded her head to agree that she would be well rested and ready for him and her to paint the town in barrage of bright colors!

Corny was falling deeper and deeper for Eric!

And the feelings were quite mutual now!

It wasn't about the few things that he had already given to her, but he was just a warmhearted and loving man who made her felt extremely special from the day they had met!

She had appreciated that he had thought about her as soon as he came back from his trip and had come to her place of work to visit her, and also waited for the entire night just to see her before heading home!

She deemed him to be a wonderful man and wanted him more and more by the minute!

She was in love and loving everything about Eric Bent, and now began fantasizing that he would remain just like this forever and ever!

Because, if he could just remain like this... loving, caring, romantic; there would be no reason for her to look for another... what she desire in a man was all wrapped up and proven in him!

To her, he has been the ideal package; he has been the milk in her coffee; her perfect knight and shinning amour, flooding her with many flowers, much affection and many wonderful gifts, and she now thought she would never trade him for anything in this world!

When it was time for him to leave her side and make his journey back home, Eric gripped Corny by the hand and had her accompanied him to his car!

He wanted her more than ever!

His patience was running out!

His spine was tingling and his mind was vibrating for her while his manhood took up the position of growing harder and harder!

And there by the car, Eric hands were all over Corny; romancing her very passionately while kissing on her lips and massaging her breast until she too had become boiling warm, wet and well-stimulated!

It felt very good to her, but she wasn't ready for this as yet!

With tickling sensations causing her body to shiver and her mind to be confused, Corny screamed;

"Eric, stop!"

Once more, she remembered the vow she had made to herself... a vow that he would not lay with her until they were married, so to get his attention she bit his ears, and again, she demanded that he stopped!

Shifting his manhood in his pants, Eric ease away from her scorching hot body and then apologize to her as he express to her that his emotions had gotten the beast of him meanwhile vowing to her that he would patiently wait until she was ready and wanted to make love with him, possibly in the near future!

With those words expressed, Eric tenderly placed one more kiss on the side of her face before walking her back to the gate of her house, waited until she entered the house before returning to his car, starting the engine and then journeying back to his home.

His sensation for Corny was working from his head to his toes, and the music on the radio wasn't helping him to release such sexual urges and erotic pangs, either!

So he decided on turning off the car radio, stop by one of the convenient store where he went purchasing a bottle of ice-cold water which he used to dab all over his body to alleviate the carnal urges that had him bulging and thinking crazy thoughts!

And for that entire week, once the sun starts settling west, Eric excitingly waited for Corny outside of the gas station oftentimes greeting her with a sweet kiss and reminding her of their long awaited date night that was schedule for the upcoming weekend!
