Leslie began her writing career as a stay-at-home-mom. Her life-long love for reading lead to reviewing books for Goodreads, Amazon and Jillian Dodd's Author Blog. Leslie is also the cofounder of The Indie Bookshelf, which hosts yearly author signings, primarily in the Dallas/FT Worth area.

When she is not writing, you will find her lunching with friends, sipping a cup of joe, binging on Netflix or working on a home DIY project.

My heart is pounding so hard I'm having a hard time catching my breath. Keep it together, Kate, you don't have time for a panic attack.


Closing my eyes, I force myself to slow down and inhale one breath at a time, nice and easy.


A cool breeze swirls around my body and I take in several more soothing breaths. Finally, I manage to shove away the feeling of panic when something light catches my eyes. I look down and my body begins to shiver. I only have on the white slip, which is also why I'm freezing my ass off. 


My hands automatically cup my shoulders as I frantically begin rubbing up and down, but I need to think because being cold is the least of my worries. There's no way I can wait for Dominic in this cave. Especially knowing he's battling for his life with the other Warriors and Fighters, even if he commanded me to. What if he needs me? What if any of them need me? I can help I have the power.
