Victoria blinks a few times, staring up at Dominic. I can tell by her look that they are mentally exchanging information. Telepathy? It must be. She understands, now. There's no doubt.
"I will add a setting to the dinner table," she says politely, curtsying before she turns and walks away.
I glance up and catch his eyes watching her, "How did you do that?" I ask, accentuating every word in a whisper.
Dominic shrugs, "You saw that, huh?" he shakes his head a little.
I nod, still in awe, "Wait, can you do it with everyone?"
He rubs his scruffy jawline for a second, "Only with people I am close to," he loosens his hold around my waist, "It takes some time to develop," he kisses my forehead and smiles like he's already reading my mind, "And yes, eventually, you and I will be able to do it, too." He turns, taking me by the hand, "But right now, we need to prepare for dinner."
