Leslie began her writing career as a stay-at-home-mom. Her life-long love for reading lead to reviewing books for Goodreads, Amazon and Jillian Dodd's Author Blog. Leslie is also the cofounder of The Indie Bookshelf, which hosts yearly author signings, primarily in the Dallas/FT Worth area.

When she is not writing, you will find her lunching with friends, sipping a cup of joe, binging on Netflix or working on a home DIY project.

Leslie lives in Texas with her husband, teenage son and daughter, and two very silly pugs.

Graveyard Watchman

Indescribable, breathtaking colors break through the white light, revealing a vibrant green meadow, heavily flowered in purples, pinks and yellows. Their sweet fragrance permeating the air as they sway in unison with the light, warm breeze.


I'm barely aware of the 'ooh's and awe's' coming from my family, completely mesmerized by this new, incredible world before me. My eyes dart in every direction, hardly knowing where to go to next as I take everything in, fascinated by even the smallest blade of greener than green grass. 


Glancing up at the sky, birds are soaring in spectacular hues of orange, red, purple and blue playfully swooping all around as they sing their song in a sky so blue words cannot describe. Every shade, every tint, every pigment is more vibrant than the next, so drenched in color it feels alive.
