"I am going east," Paul said. "You are going home."
"Ask me to Choose and I will say at the side of my friend," Daniel said.
"Ask me and I would say that my friend is safe."
"I won't feel right," Daniel said, "if I am safe, and you are lost."
Paul sighed. "Very well," he said, "we go east."
They spent the coin they had earned working for people around Cepha on food.
"You heading out again?" the bread maker said as he packed the loaves in their bag.
"Going east," Paul said.
"There's nothing east," the man said.
"Then I guess we'll find nothing," Daniel said.
"You can go west to Brurn and the River and south to Arik, or take that little path and walk to Eben. You can risk the path north and go to Rym, but you can't go east."
