William Wakefield returned to his private residence and paced the drawing room. He was in a spot of bother and wasn't sure how best to resolve the issue. A simple receipt and a mere accountant challenging the validity of the document was outrageous. The facts recounted by Stewart were accurate, his reasoning logical, demonstrating an inquiring mind that Wakefield could only be impressed by. Certainly, his uncanny ability to recall dates and numbers at will from memory was astonishing.
