The next day, Isaac, Charles, Eleanor and Andrew took a carriage and went along the ocean towards the village of Te Wharepouri, which bordered the White Horse Inn in Kaiwharawhara. Sitting on sections numbered eight and nine, it was still a small hotel with a few guest rooms, a dining room, a bar on a small piece of land. It was nothing like Barrett's hotel, but as Uncle Charles explained, the Inn had the potential to provide a stable income if it was well managed. Andrew could easily manage the financials, Eleanor had an understanding of the hospitality side, and Charles was always available to help out if they had problems.
