Ira's logical mind began the process of estimating the angle of fire and determining where the shooter had been when the shots were fired. He gratefully turned away from the bodies, which has been attracting flies, and using a circular route to avoid disturbing the ground and any potential clues or evidence, walked slowly towards the ocean. The position of large rocks near the bodies and on the beach narrowed the search area considerably. On reaching the water's edge, he walked along the ocean until he reached a point which, as he thought, represented the probable line of sight. Bending over, with his hands on his thighs, Ira began taking careful small steps directly towards the bodies, his head slowly moving from side to side, scanning the beach for clues.
