Chapter 12: Taken

Alex P.O.V

I'm. Going. To. Kill. Axel.

I sat in homeroom earning a few stares. I tried hiding my neck as much as possible but It was no use.

When class ended my friend Danielle came over to me.

"Omg, who did that to you?"

I got up picking up my stuff.

"My stupid boyfriend." We started walking.

"Damn, I wish my boyfriend could do that... That takes skill."

"Trust me, it's hell." We continued walking down the hall and I noticed Axel and his group of friends up ahead.

He noticed me and smirked flexing casually.

I flipped him the middle finger and kept walking.

"He's sleeping on the fucking floor tonight," I said to Danielle as we passed by making sure he heard it.

We arrived at our lockers which were right beside each other. We were getting out next period stuff when Emily and Carly came up to us.

"Hey!" I shouted hugging them both.

Emily tried holding her laughter and let out a small snicker.

I glared at her and she started laughing. Carly glared at her as well, resulting in her laughing harder.

Emily stopped laughing and sounded like she heard something.

The lights started to flicker and then went they went out completely.

Axel came over to me getting into a protective stance.

Suddenly students started screaming as the light came back on. But something was different... They aren't normal, it appeared as though they were red but black at the same time. The entire hallway seemed like a nightmare. There was fog and we heard a footstep that seemed to echo throughout the entire school. Carly, Emily, Axel and I got ready. Axel's eyes turned red as all ours turned golden, except mine didn't turn golden... They turned blue.

Danielle stepped forward with green eyes.

"So, you guys are Angels, and it appears your boyfriend is a demon. Hopefully, you guys can fight."

At the end of the hall, a shadowy figure turned the corner. We walked towards it and out of nowhere a ton more came out.

Desmond and his friends came up behind us and walked past us. Axel smirked at them and they got a bit scared.

My skin began to turn blue and I grew blue ethereal wings that lit the entire hallway. Emily and Carly looked at me in awe as they became white ethereal beings. Desmond and his group became archangels with hoods and ethereal energy pouring out of their backs.

Desmond and his group charged at them only to be tossed aside as if they were insignificant ants.

Axel began to change, soon turning into his demonic form.

He summoned his chains of torture and pulled one of the beings to him, sending him to the depths of hell. Emily and Carly summoned a beam of pure light, merging their power. They shot it and took 3 of them out but they just kept coming.

Danielle threw a ball of green energy at the ground in front of them causing many to fall in and become ash but it still wasn't working. I felt like all hope was lost but something happened.

I started feeling this strange power coming over me... I felt like I couldn't control it...

My body started turning into pure light with gold taking over the blue. It was like a fight for power between the two colours.

Lightning sparks flew from my fingertips and I turned to them. They stopped where they were. One lifted their hand and the next thing I knew, all I felt was total darkness.

All I saw was total darkness.

Emily P.O.V

Where Alex once stood, was now only ash and air. Axel's body filled with red smoke. "WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO? WHERE THE HELL IS ALEX?!" He screamed at the shadowy figures.

A lone laugh echoed down the hall.

"We took him, we need him."

Axel in the blink of an eye charged at them, dragging his heavy chains on the ground before getting launched back in the wall at the other end of the hallway. The creatures disappeared and we ran over to Axel.

Axel just stared at the floor with a blank, miserable stare. His lips began quivering and he began sobbing.

I've never seen a demon cry, until today.
