Beast tide II

Jordan didn´t have to be a genius to know that the beast with three heads is at least in the fourth phase, what´s more, each head of the beast had a different element, earth, fire, wind, in other words, the worst combination for Jordan.

The earth greatly boosts defenses while fire provides great attack, while most of the beasts with wind element are very agile. The bestiary also supported this so Jordan weighed his chances in 1 on 1 battle.

´not good, I would win if I transformed but otherwise… I have at best 50% chance of winning, I need more information before I make a move, for now, I will focus on defense´

Jordan began to run around the wall and killed any beast that he encountered, occasionally taming those he found worthy and easily manageable.

In the second phase beasts no longer could threaten him even when he got bitten or scratched by them the wounds would simply vanish without leaving a trace in a matter of seconds.

Destroyed head here, ripped organs there, the beasts fell one after another and only the third phase beasts slowed Jordan in his rampage. To quickly kill those beasts Jordan needed to use mana to cast spells or strengthen himself, but he tried to avoid doing that, soon he will need all the mana he can get. For this reason, Jordan infused himself only with the first and second circle mana, boost from this mana was very lacking when compared to the third and fourth circle but still better than nothing.

While Jordan rampaged around the walls others from the camp started to show up, goblins, lizardmen, ratmen all showed up and filled the walls, next were the humans who shoved themselves and attacked any beast that was nearby, the citizens were sending fireballs, icicles or wind blades at the attacking first phase beasts.

Slowly they began to overpower the beasts and just as things were about to get better, roars could be heard "RARRW" and after that, the three-headed beast broke through the wall.

The beast was huge, at least 5 meters (16ft 4 in) high and 8 meters long (26ft), it took only seconds for the beast to locate Jordan and after that, the beast began to charge a powerful spell.

All three heads began to focus and before them, a huge fireball formed, bolts of electricity raging inside of it, with a blast of wind the fireball was shot at Jordan.

Jordan hardly had any time to infuse his rune tattoo on his back with mana and jump away, still, Jordan managed to dodge with minimal burns on his body.

In the place where Jordan stood before was a small hole with flames all around it, ´no time, have to fight´

There weren´t yet the beasts that Jordan most relied on, such as Max and the wyvern but Jordan couldn't just sit around and wait for them.

Without waiting any further Jordan cast his fourth circle shield spell and an icicle spell in the third circle, the icicle flew a bit just at it neared its goal the beast quickly moved and caught the icicle in one of its heads.

Jordan was a bit shocked, but he didn't let that faze him, Jordan quickly runs towards the beast while being infused with the meaning of speed.

The beast tried to bite Jordan, but Jordan successfully slid under the beast, and from under it, Jordan cast more spells, sadly the icicle spell in the third circle was the only one Jordan could safely use without injuring himself.

Five icicles, each about one meter (3ft) long imbued themselves into the beasts, piercing about 15 centimeters in (half feet).

Crimson blood started to pour from the wounds, just as the blood comes to contact with air the blood caught on fire slowly melting the icicles.

It only took a few seconds for Jordan to cast the spell, but it was enough for the beast to react, the beast stood up on its rear legs and swiped with front claws.

While under the beast Jordan was ducking so he didn't have time to stand and dodge so he just moved the shield before him and even leaned his shoulder against the shield for extra weight to resist the claws.

The claws hit the shield and the shield after a bit of resistance cracked, Jordan was sent flying with huge deep wounds on his right side. After a short flight Jordan fell back on the ground, besides deep wounds there were also few cracked bones, nevertheless, Jordan picked himself up and infused his rune tattoo with more fourth circle mana.

Jordan had no time to catch a breath as another huge fireball was send at him, Jordan once again dodged this time without letting himself burned. After dodging Jordan once again cast the shield spell and send few more icicles at the beast.

This time the beast didn't bother to catch the icicles and tanked them while running straight at Jordan. Dodging seemed impossible, blocking as well, with those options sealed Jordan´s brain went to overdrive, the time almost seemed to freeze and Jordan couldn't help but think ´only if I could fly… wait! That´s it!´

Jordan jumped up as hard as he could while he also moved his mana shield under him, with the shield´s force from raw mana and air current Jordan conquered Jordan managed to fly about ten meters (32 ft 9 in) straight up.

Clearly, the beast didn't expect it and was quite disoriented, while in the air Jordan checked his body, all his injuries were already healed and since the beast didn't notice him yet Jordan got another idea.

Jordan rose on the shield as high as he could in the shortest time possible and when he was about 33 meters up (100ft) Jordan jumped off from the shield. Falling with his war-hammer first while also guiding his descend with raw mana Jordan managed to precisely land an enormous blow to the beast´s middle head.

The head exploded and Jordan´s hands were broken despite being enhanced and being turned black due to the mutation, without the raw mana around his hands that served as glue the hammer would just fly off, but it didn't, and Jordan managed to hold onto it.

The beast was painfully growling with its remaining heads, fires were blazing in place of the missing head. Jordan wanted to press the attack, but he couldn't do so with his broken hands, so he began casting more spells.

As the beast was still quite stunned and kept laying on the ground while growling Jordan aimed at its eyes. Four icicles at once formed in the air and as one they pierced the beast´s eyes.

The beast began to madly struggle and even managed to throw Jordan off from its back but it was too late. Jordan landed on the ground and watched the blinded beast.

Jordan retreated a bit while the beast madly smashed everything around itself, Jordan took his time and began to conquer a huge icicle with the fourth circle mana from his center of power. The icicle wasn't a circle spell, it was formed by Jordan´s will and as such, it took more time but could be more potent.

Three meters (9 ft) long icicle formed in the air, Jordan waited, waited a bit more and after a while, he got a perfect chance. With a blast of air the icicle was shot and pierced the place where the middle head used to be, the icicle imbued itself deep into the beast and the beast fell to the ground, finally dead.
