Uncalled Guest At The Wrong Time

We were looking for the food stalls. There were so many varieties to choose from. I really wanted to eat some spicy Tteokbokki but I knew that Aalto would prefer something sweet.

" Hyeon, what's that called?" With a meek smile he asked pointing at a stall.

" Corn dogs. You wanna try them?" I replied back.

" They look tasty so, I wanna eat it." He looks like a child. His smile is so pure and innocent. Just look at him being curious about the food!

Isn't that adorable?

" Okay. Let's wait in the line."

The stall seems to be pretty crowded which clearly indicates that the food must be good. Five star restaurant's food is at it's place but street food is something that gives you a certain type of pleasure. It's not just the taste but the whole experience. No matter if it's unhygienic or low in quality or whatever! People still loves it. Because we grow up eating them.

My eyes were wandering around the area as I was standing in the line. The alluring smell of the food is making my nose explode. It was coming from the other food stalls. Oh god! My mouth feels so watery. I wanna eat already!

Even though my nose and mouth were feeling rapturous, my eyes caught a heinous sight in that peaceful moment. Who would have thought that I might end up seeing something repellent.

" We have to leave now. I'll buy you corn dogs later." I grabbed Aalto's hand in a hurry and we begun to walk towards my car.

" Did something happen?" Making a confused expression, Aalto asked with a hint of concern.

" Uh... I need go home quickly." Of course something unpleasant happened which made me wanna run away from this place. But sadly I can't really tell you that, " Besides, we also have to go to the beach, remember? Don't you wanna swim today?" I added.

" Okay." Aalto was convinced easily by my words. After all he's so innocent. I do feel bad for lying and hiding stuffs from him. Sadly there is no other options here.

The person who made me furious, the person who was the reason for my sudden fury, the person who made run away like a fucking chicken, it was none other than my ex boyfriend, Dae Jung.

I'm not scared of him. Rather than that he makes me so angry.

Dae Jung was my first boyfriend. I even lost my virginity to him. He was indeed a handsome guy. Back in my school days he was pretty popular with the girls. His family is loaded. Wealth, status, looks he had them all. No wonder people would gather around him. There is nothing that he lacks except loyalty.

Yup, he cheated on me.

After I broke up with him I was so done with relationships. I never gave him the second chance to rectify his actions. I mean why should I? I caught that mother fucker sleeping with a girl. It was enough for my heart to break and shatter in pieces.

He could have broken up with me then go after any other girl he wanted but why cheat? Because I'm extremely dumb and I will forgive him for that hideous act?

Hell no!

Yun Hee had tried to send me on blind dates. I was never eager to date someone else after my first relationship. None of the blind dates lasted for next day. It was just super annoying. The love I knew was gone forever. I don't think that I can ever trust a guy again. So this lack of trust made me stop going on dates.

We retuned back home to change into something comfy. It is dark already. The sea feels so calming. Aalto is swimming in the broad ocean, jumping around like a dolphin. It must be nice to be so carefree and happy at the same time. I can see his silhouette in the dim light which is enough for me.

*BARROOOM*

Suddenly a rumbling noise cracks up my ear drums.

" You gotta be kidding me!" Where did all this cloud came from? It was clear just few minutes ago. Now the sky is covered by the dark clouds. Even the wind started to blow faster.

" Aalto come back here! We have to go." I scream at the top of my lungs. He must have heard the thunderstorm which made him return to the shore. After all my voice isn't that loud. He put on the pants and his t-shirt. Yes, I'm only looking at his silhouette. There nothing I can see in that dim light except his figure.

The rain starts to pour with large drops.

Great!

" We have to run Hyeon." Aalto said with a slacked jaw.

Of course I know dude! Move your legs faster so that we can get in the car quickly.

Oh no.

" Shit! Why the heck I left the car at home?!" I yelled in frustration as the dreadful realisation hit me. Seriously can't this day get any worser ?

We ran fast on the empty roads, trying to prevent ourselves from getting wet. Sadly the raindrops were so big and pouring with a heavy force. I can't believe the weather cheated on us.

No one was there at the time. Anyway we have managed to come this far. My home is almost here. I just want to get in the hot bath after getting soaked in this unwanted rain. Those dreamy imaginations made me slip and smack my butt on the road, making a thud sound.

" Ugh!!!!!!" Fuck my life! What the hell is going on today?! I'm already drenched. My clothes are wet. My butt is aching. I think I probably cracked some bone. My palms seems to scratched a little thanks to the road. I tried to stand up but I can't get up. I tried again but it didn't work.

Uh oh.

" Hyeon, are you okay?" I was busy cursing my awful luck meanwhile two big arms scoped me up. When I got back to my senses I found myself being carried by Aalto.

" Uh..." I tried to say something but nothing came out from my mouth.

" We are almost there." With a shaky voice Aalto told me. My head is resting on my chest which is close to his heart. I can hear his heartbeats. It was helping me to stay clam even though I was super embarrassed.

I have never been carried by someone in princess style. Of course it would make my heart beat faster. God! I want to hide my face, bury it deep under my pillow, right this very moment. But even after all the efforts I put on to compress my shameful mind, in the end I failed miserably.
