A month into filming rumors began to spread around about the second male lead of the drama Yao Chang. None of which were good as it was rumored that Yao Chang partied regularly and made use of hard drugs.

Director Ma ignored the rumors and continued filming. In the one month, they had been filming Yao Chang had been in good behavior. He didn't drink nor smoke and always arrived at the set on time.

Yao Chang was also very respectful to the crew. He never protested when the staff made any mistakes instead silently tolerated everything. 

Filming continued until an Ex-girlfriend of Yao Chang went on a television program and accused him of abusing her physically. Yao Chang came out to refute the rumors as soon as the news broke. 

The accusation went back and forth for days until the ex-girlfriend began to post pictures of her medical report after each fight.
