What can go Wrong?

The next morning after the feast.

"Kuuuuuu" I give large yawn and have a look around me. I am cuddled comfortably into Mother as I rub my tired eyes. I then hang my head in defeat, remembering what happened after the large feast that had been brought for me.

What happened after the feast you may ask. Well....

The Previous night

"Ahhh, you're so cute Alicia. I have never actually seen new-born baby dragon before because dragons are so rare and spread far apart. Hmm, but Grandmother always did say that babies are the cutest little things and she was definitely not lying!" My mother said with a blissful expression on her face.

So, dragons are quite rare are they. I wonder why that is? Based on information from stories in my past life that I vaguely remember, Dragons are supposed to be the embodiment of power. I wonder if that's different here than what the fantasy stories in the other world say.

And her Grandmother huh? That would make her my Great-Grandmother. I wonder where Mothers parents are, and for that matter where my father is. I haven't seen a single being here, other than mother.

Haah, so many questions that I cannot yet ask. I wonder when I will be able to speak with mother instead of making annoying squeaking noises. Some would say it's cute, for example my mother, however by this point just making that noise is hindering my ability to communicate with her.

Currently I was sat on mother's lap as she strokes from my head, down my back to the fluffy tip of my tail. I would try to resist as I have done before…. But what would be the point.

I have learnt that there is no escaping her once she has me in her grasp. Soo, it is better to just accept it and let her have her way until she is satisfied.

It's definitely not because it feels good though! I mean it does feel good…. But that's definitely not the reason I am no longer resisting! I am not a child!

"Haaa, Grandmother used to always stroke me as well. My favourite part was when she stroked and rubbed my ears, that would always render me inactive for a while…."

Hmm…. Interesting

Mother was still chatting away about various things, such as what Great-Grandmother has told her in the past, but they seemed rather uninteresting. I just continued being stroked. Until….

"…. but for sure, Alicia is so much smaller and cuter than a baby dragon normally should be, I mean…."

Mother carried on her one-way conversation, but a certain few words stuck in my head.

Kukuku, you have called me SMALL yet again dear Mother. I shall be patient for now and let you have your way, but soon…. Kukuku

My mother continued talking, not knowing that I was deviously plotting against her.

"…. And so to help you get used to your new home we shall go on a tour. Huhu, a first family outing…. Anyway, we shall look at the main rooms around our castle, then a few interesting places in the old city and finally a stop off at the entrance to the forest. Its too dangerous for you to go in at the moment Alicia."

With my tomorrow planned for me, we get ready to sleep. My mother turned into her dragon form and beckoned me over.

"Right then, Alicia come to your mother it is time for us to sleep. We have a lot to get round tomorrow and you're only a child at the moment so you need all the rest you can get."

That sounded reasonable enough. I do have to keep reminding myself that my body is that of a new-born so it is obvious that I do not have lots of energy to be active for long periods.

So I waddled over to where mother was curled up and laid on her. Her body temperature was extremely high, most may think that it would be uncomfortable to be laid on something that is so hot. However, to me it felt really nice and calming.

Mother said not long after I met her that I was a Flame Dragon, so I suppose it makes sense I like excessive warmth.

She then wrapped her foreleg around me and cuddled me.

"Hehe…. I have waited so long to do this with you Alicia. Grandmother often said cuddling with me like this when I was a young dragon brought her great joy. I think I understand how she felt now…."

Not long after, she said her goodnights and gave me a large lick with her rough tongue, which I guess was a kiss goodnight. She then drifted off into to sleep.

….

Kukuku, it is time Mother.

I wriggled out from under her foreleg she was hugging me with and took some distance from her. I instantly started to miss the warmth radiating from her body, but this was something I had to do.

Although my mother may have thought that she was just talking to me about harmless and mundane things, she made one mistake. She accidently gave me her weakness.

HER EARS!

My mother would never allow me a chance to just stroke her ears normally. She could easily just aim for my weak points before I had chance to get close.

Yes. Like last time I tried to fight her she immediately disabled me with her skilled hands that found all of my weak points instantly… haah her tail strokes feel aamaazingg

…

Ahem.

Anyway, my genius plan is as follows.

Act One: Escape the iron grip cuddle of Mother. Completed

Act Two: Quietly take distance from Mother. Completed

Act Three: Look for a clear route to charge, jump and climb to Mothers ears as quickly as possible.

I spot a route in which I can easily hop over her coiled tail, climb up her shoulder and neck, towards her head and to the target ear. Act Three Completed.

Act Four: Skilfully take the planned route and rush towards the target.

And Finally

Act Five: Mercilessly stroke and massage Mothers ear until I have my revenge and she submits to the great me.

Kuku, it is time to carry out the final two steps. Prepare yourself Mother, for tonight I shall have my revenge!

My big operation begins. Nothing could go wrong after such great planning!

"kyuuuuu" I give a quiet war cry, so as to not wake her up, and advance.

….

Things immediately started to go wrong.

Shit, I didn't take into account I am not used to my new limbs yet!

I clumsily ended up standing on my Mothers tail…. I look up…. And she is still asleep.

Phew… the operation continues!

I carry on charging forward while accidently standing on mother several times. But because I am so much smaller than her it seems she does not notice the tiny me climbing over her.

Once I got to the foreleg that I was going to climb to get to the neck and head, I noticed just how large my mother really is in this form.

Urgghh, so far away…. But my resolve is not so easily broken! I will defeat you Mother!

I began my ascent of my mountain of a Mother. After some time of carefully climbing with my clumsy limbs, finally climbed up the leg, up the neck and onto the head.

I did it! The target is only a few steps away, this is my victory kukuku….

Just as I was going to reach out for the ear something unanticipated happened.

*Sniffle*

Hmm?

*Sniffle* *Sniffle*

What is that?!

"ACHOOOOOO!"

AHH!

My mother let out a monstrous sneeze that echoed loudly through the castle.

Whaa, nooooo!

"KYUUUU!"

My unsteady legs and new claws could not keep hold of my mother's head. I tumbled down the route I spent, what felt like forever, climbing.

ALL MY HARDWORK!!

I landed roughly at the bottom of the leg. Worse yet my Mother seems to have woken up because of her sneeze, she still seemed sleepy though.

Maybe she won't notice me, and I can try again! I thought optimistically

However, her eyes locked with mine and she gave a large smile that showed all her beautiful, large, sharp teeth.

"Hmm, I am sorry Alicia did you get separated when we were sleeping? Don't worry Mother will make sure not let you go this time hehe" She said with a sleepy voice

She then scooped me up with her large talons and cuddled me close to her body.

NOOO! THIS IS NOT FAIR I WAS SO CLOSE! I WAsss…. Ah mother is so warm….

I soon felt the comfortable warmth of my mothers body against me again and I could not help but relax my body. It made me realise how much my operation, and other activities that day, had tired me out.

Hmph, well played Mother. You are indeed a strong opponent. But just you wait I shall have my revenge… I shal… I…

The combination of fatigue and warmth overcame me and I slowly passed out into sleep.

Yup, that is how my night went. I may have lost the battle, but this war is far from over. Revenge shall be mine!

"KYUUU!"

"Hmm, oh you're awake Alicia? Good morning." Mother said sweetly with a toothy smile as she was awakened by my inadvertent cry of determination.

She slowly got up and stretched her large body before transforming into her human form.

"Now come, eat some of the left-over monster meat from yesterday and we shall begin your big tour of our home"

That does sound fun, I thought. I did as I was told and began chomping on some of the corpses left from last night. I then prepared myself and set off with mother.

Thus began my first family day out.
