Itachi POV
Master Makarov nodded to my answer and understood that in time, I will tell him more about me.
His next question was more practical.
"Itachi, I sense immense magic power from you. Taking on regular missions would be detrimental to your growth. If you are alright with it, I would like to test you for the position of S-Class Mage of Fairy Tail in a few months. This will allow you enough time to prepare for it."
I naturally agreed. An SS-Class Mage (as claimed by the system) not being able to even partake in S-Class jobs? That would be insulting to Itachi's power.
"Yes, Master. I would be perfectly fine with that. If I may ask, what are the specifics of the test that I will be preparing for?"
He thought for a moment before answering.
"Your heart, mind, and loyalty to the guild."
I nodded. This was par for the course.
An S-Class Mage a was very important position within the guild. An S-Class Mage has to be aware of the important secrets of the guild. Power was not only required of the Mage but their will and loyalty to the guild as well.
"Fairy Tail welcomes you Itachi. We are happy to be your family now, no matter where you come from or who you are."
I acted slightly shook at what he said, then relieved, and then I smiled sadly at Master Makarov.
"Thank you, really."
In order to be cold, aloof, and badass, I must set myself a sad backstory, no?
Master Makarov also noticed the changes in my expression and smiled like a kind old grandpa.
"No worries my boy. I understand what you must have gone through in order to become the strong man you are today. I will not question your actions so long as they do not harm the guild."
"Thank you Master, really." I was grateful for his kindness nonetheless.
"It really isn't an issue. Now that is aside, let's work on getting you situated into Magnolia. For as long as you'd need, the guild will pay for your expenses. When you are ready to begin your first jobs, you have the green light and you can pay us back later."
I was quite surprised at how lenient the system was. But I'm sure the system easily fished out who stayed in the guild for their own benefits at the cost of the guild and those who stayed because they had nowhere to stay and simply wanted companionship.
Naturally, with my capabilities, I would like to begin my jobs as soon as possible.
"Master, I would like to begin taking jobs and quests as soon as possible. I know I am more than capable to begin earning money for myself. In addition, I will be having Cana living with me as well. We both would not want to be a burden to this guild."
Hearing my heart-felt and guild benefitting answer, Master Makarov could not help but smile in approval.
"Very considerate of you my boy. The request board is near the bar. When you find a quest you deem suitable, just come to me and I'll give you the approval to set off."
I nodded and stood up, ready to leave the room to begin my first quest.
---
"An A-Class quest to exterminate a powerful demon on the outskirts of Clover Town."
Master Makarov read my quest selection out loud.
Immediately, the partying of Fairy Tail died down.
"An A-Class mission on his first quest? He must be strong. If Master lets him go on his mission."
"Well, Itachi does have a pretty strong magic signature for his age. He should be okay I hope."
I remained emotionless throughout their discussion of me and simply waited for the Master's approval.
Suddenly, I felt a slight tug at my pants. I looked down and saw Cana with a gloomy expression.
Ah, she must be feeling sad that she hasn't found Gildarts yet and now the only person she knows will be leaving soon.
I knelt down to her eye-level and ruffled her hair, smiling kindly.
"Don't worry," I told her in a low voice.
"You'll find your father, I promise. I bet he's a very strong magician on a super important and long quest as of currently."
"Right now, I'm going to go out and make us some money so we can have a place to stay. Be good alright? Get to know your new family here."
Cana reluctantly let go of me and nodded with slight tears in her eyes.
"Okay, Itachi-nii."
I smiled at her a little amused and stood up to face Makarov who sat on the barstool.
"Master, I'm ready to head off now."
He nodded and handed me the quest flier with an approved stamp.
I turned and glanced around at my guild members.

Guild Member POV
Itachi turned to look at us before heading off, acknowledging us with a nod.
"Good luck out there Itachi."
"Tell me about your first job when you come back!"
"Stay safe man! Heard the demon was weak to fire."
He smiled at the good wishes and started to walk out of the building of our guild.
And just as he was about to step through the entrance onto the streets of Magnolia, his body suddenly deformed and burst into dozens of crows.
The crows cawed and flapped their wings off into the distance, leaving behind fluttering feathers for all to see.
