Who Is She?

I woke up at midnight, a strange thumping noise. I slid out of bed and tiptoed to Austin's room. I inched the door open a bit to see him on top of a bottle blond woman with legs for days. I slammed the door open and he paused looking at me shocked. The blond was scared, Austin smiled and threw a knife at my chest. My heart broke and tears streamed down my face.

   "Avalene, you need to get up before I yank you out of this bed myself", my eyes fluttered open and I looked to see him sitting on the edge of my bed, steaming mug in hand. I began to sob hugging myself and curling into a ball.

   "I'm sorry... I'm so sorry... I know I'm not what you want... I'm a horrible soul mate", I couldn't breathe and I felt Austin grab my wrists. He pulled me into his lap, I clutched his shirt sobbing into it harder.

   "What happened? Please tell me, I might understand", he rubbed small circles across my shoulder blades. I took a few deep breaths and explained the dream. He looked at me shocked.

   "If you dont want me I understand, I'm tainted", I wiggled to get out of his grasp, his arms tightened.

   "What do you mean? Your all I've ever wanted and your not tainted, I'm never going to leave you", I looked up at him as he wiped tears off of my face.

   "But... I-", He put a finger to my lips.

   "No buts, your perfect, call out of work today we need to tend to things and I need to show you how much i love you", His eyes got darkened at that last bit. He kissed my temple handing me the mug. He winked and walked out. I got up and went to the bathroom turning the shower on. I grabbed my phone and called my boss, telling him I woke up with a fever and felt sick, he gave me today and tomorrow off. I showered mulling over the last 3 days. I'd found my soul mate and I moved in with him... And I got jealous of a woman I'd never met, this must be what its like to meet your forever love. I stepped out and wrapped up in a towel. I touched to fingers to my lips wondering how I'd ended up with such a wonderful guy, I heard a sigh escape from the doorway, he was standing there in an old faded glory t-shirt with his arms crossed over his chest, his eyes traveled up my legs to the curves of my body, as his eyes landed on mine he opened his arms and I ran to them. He hugged me whispering how much he loved me into my ear, and I felt it. I felt the love and compassion that flowed through him straight to my heart. I smiled into his shoulder.

   "How about we go to brunch and then to the park or somethin", he squeezed me again and rubbed my back.

   "Let me get dressed", I pulled back but didn't step away. He kissed my nose and stepped back taking my hand.

   "I love you, don't put yourself down anymore please... I'll never cheat on you, I can't", He kissed my hand and stepped out of the room. I sighed, going to the closed and getting a blue sundress on. I stepped back into the bathroom and pulled my long brown hair up into a high pony tail, brushing on light make up. I headed downstairs.

   "Why not Sofia, she was clean and mature and well mannered, a little bit older than you but I looked over that. Ava... She's nice but she doesn't have what Sofia has, split up with Ava... Please, for your mother", Misty's voice cackled through his phone, I rolled my eyes.

   "Mom, I'm not going to do that, you know I love her and want her more than anything in the world. I'm not going to make either of us go heartbroken to find our second chancers, Ava is my only reason to live right now", Austin hung up the phone and sighed, I tiptoed into the kitchen through the dining room so he didn't see me, a cupboard creaked and he came in the kitchen.

   "I was getting some tea... Unless we're still on for brunch", I looked down at the floor. Who was Sofia and why was she better than me? Why was Misty so hell-bent on Austin leaving me?

   "Get your shoes on, we're going on a drive... I need to talk to you", His eyes were hard and cold and it scared me so I rushed upstairs and grabbed my sandals, slipping them on and getting in the car. He gripped the wheel and I sat far away from him, worried he had rethought and agreed with his mother. I needed to spark a conversation, the silence was killing me.

   "Where are we going", I tried to sound airy but it came out shaky and scared. He looked at me and read my expression, he softened.

   "To brunch, at this diner up ahead... What's wrong, I know you over heard my conversation with mom. I already told you and her that I wasn't going to leave you... And Sofia was a mistake, a girl I met at a bar and started dating last year, she was in her early 20s and had finished college, mom loved her because of how mature she was. My mother just now got to see you for barely 10 minutes and automatically thought I'd be unhappy with you. The truth is Sofia was very controlling and barely allowed me to do anything. Mom just got back in touch with me... I'm sorry she is the way she is", He looked at me and I offered a small smile.

   "Its ok... As long as I'm ur one and only", I slid closer to him and he wrapped his arm around me.

   "Always", He kissed my neck as he pulled into a rustic looking diner. 'Doodies Diner' read a neon sign hanging above the door.

   "What can I get ya sugar", a waitress in a mint colored uniform held a pad of paper and a ballpoint pen as she eyed Austin's strong arm wrapped around my waist.

   "I'll have a coke and the BLT with hash browns, extra mayo", He looked at the menu and then up at me.

   "Oh, I'll have a Pepsi and... A fruit salad... Please don't put nuts in it, i have an allergy, thank you", I handed her my menu and looked across to the other side where the juke box was.

   "It'll be about 10 minutes, I'll go get y'alls drinks", She clicked off, trying to sway nonexistent hips to flirt with Austin, he snorted.

   "Can you believe that chick? I'm not even a 7 out of 10... Things people try to do for sex... Are you ok", his face fell when he saw how uncomfortable I was.

   "Yeah... Even though you made it clear what was what, it still stings a little to see women try to flirt with you", I looked at my hands. He slid out of his seat to sit next to me, turning my head towards him.

   "Then let them see I'm yours, go easy though, I might be unable to control myself", his eyes grew dark and I bit my lip. I kissed him slipping my hand behind his neck as he slid me into his lap, running a hand up my thigh. I battled with his tongue and my own patience as I ran my hands through his hair. Our booth was somewhat secluded and mostly everyone was on the other side so I risked it running my hands under his shirt. He growled and I smiled. His hand went higher until he had my whole thigh exposed under the table, he sat me back in the seat and pulled my legs apart.

   "You aren't", I whisper gasped as he slid my soaked panties to the side.

He got out and walked around to my side as I opened the door. He scooped me up and carried me into the house and up to our room.

   "You should probably go to the bathroom... Or something... I need to go get our clothes out of the truck", he sat me on the bed gently, I teasingly spread my legs showing my naked core.

   "You sure", I said as I watched him tense up and his eyes grow dark with lust.

   "I'll return in a few minutes, go to the bathroom and get back in that bed naked, I'll feast on you then", he stepped out and I hurriedly went to the bathroom and undressing yet again. I went back to the bed and laid on top of the covers, flipping on my side, trying to be sexy. He walked back in and looked at me smirking.

   "Mr. Quinn needs to tend to his new fiance before she grows impatient", I said as he came closer, I flipped to my back and spread my legs as he got to the side of the bed.
