Our secret spot

Yuna was always easy going and talkative so her being confident while talking to Cha Min was not a surprise.

"So I heard you and Ji Eun are studying for Math?"

Cha min glanced at me and said "Yeah"

His glance made me think 'Was I supposed to keep it a secret?'

Yuna smiled like a cheshire cat, like she was holding a secret herself.

"Have a happy study date"

I was bewildered 'cant she stop calling it a date?'

I hastily exclaimed while glaring at Yuna "It's not a date"

Cha Min didn't do anything to object her and was infact smiling like he was actually agreeing with her.

"Did you ask for permission from your mom?" He turned to me and asked.

"Yeah" I replied passively.

"Shall we go then?"

"Yeah..."

We started walking towards the gate. The girl Cha Min was talking to before was still standing there glaring at me, but when we reached, her expressions were completely changed like I just imagined it. Her name was Choi Lina and everybody knew her, as she was the most popular and beautiful girl of school. With her brownish hair, doe eyes and slander figure, she was indeed a beauty.

"Hi Ji Eun" Choi Lina called me.

I was shocked that she addressed, that she even knew me and I wasn't the only one. Yuna was surprised too.

We have been in the same school forever and she never once talked to me. Although, it wasn't very surprising as we were in different classes, her being in Class A and the rest of us in Class B.

There were total 4 classes namely, A, B, C and D for the same grade based on performance of student. Although my overall grades were amazing, math was the reason for my declining grade. But I didnt mind it as I got to stay in the same class as my bestfriend and now with Cha Min too.

"Hi..." I said a bit strangely.

Cha Min didn't gave us much time for conversation.

"Choi Lina, I already promised Euna for helping her for Math, So I am sorry for not helping you with English"

There was a difference in how he addressed me compared to her and I dont think it got unnoticed by her either. But at that moment my focus was on something else.

I was a bit shocked. Why would Lina needs a tutor for english? aside from being popular and beautiful, she is filthy rich and already have multiple tutors.

Again, my expressions were mirrored by Yuna.

If Choi Lina was unhappy about being rejected, I couldn't tell, because there was no change in her expression.

"Okay" she said demurly.

Cha Min said "We have to go now. See you tomorrow"

I said goodbye to Yuna as well. Cha Min was leading me away from school and I was following him like a puppy still thinking about about the strange incident.

"So... how was your day?" Cha Min asked.

" Huh...."I was still in a bit of daze.

"It was okay."

'or rather relatively boring and I couldn't pay attention to a single lecture beacuse I was anticipating this very moment' But I couldn't tell him that, right?

Cha Min looked at me teasingly and said

"Usually people ask the other person out of courtesy"

Then I realized that I was still following him in a daze without saying anything.

So I hurriedly asked "How was yours?"

He started laughing to that "Honestly it was so boring. I couldn't pay attention to any of the lectures and couldn't wait for the to end so I could meet you"

I was shocked from his confession. 'He actually said that?'

"Oh...." I was blushing red by now.

"Didn't you miss me?" he asked teasingly.

"No!!!!" I replied hurriedly and he started laughing again.

By now we had reached the Jung park. It was near 4 so people were slowly gathering. I was a bit confused with the arrangement. 'Wont it be too noisy in a park for us to study?'

I asked "Are we going to study in park? wouldn't it be too noisy?"

"Just follow me " He said excitedly with his infectious smile. So thats what I did.

Looking at my confused expression Cha Min started explaining

"When we moved here I used to roam around the area to get familiarize with it"

i nodded to that, sensing my silence he continued

"So one day after school I went to the park and found a place which is a bit farther and is hidden from the usual hanging place so it is very quiet. It also has an amazing view of the river."

"I didn't wanted to show this place to anyone else so that it can be my own secret heaven. But now we can use it as our secret place and nobody will disturb us here"

I felt alot of emotions after his explanation, shock, confusion, excitement but mostly delighted that he is sharing his secret place with me.

But I couldnt help but ask the question which kept bugging me

"So why are you showing this to me"

To this Cha Min looked at me, smiled sincerely and said.

"Because you are special to me"
